The Tundra Space Shuttle towing event was basically an engineering Parlor Trick and not a analogous comparison to real world towing the vehicle would be certified for.

I'm almost 95% sure the OP of this thread is "The Real Maverick", who was banned last year due to his trolling antics.
I see I'm not the only one who made the connection with them being The Real Maverick/GPSMan.

Forgot about GPSMan too. I'm sure we're not the only ones.

Maybe I'm missing something. But it looks like some people are getting way too serious. I don't the the OP was trying to recommend towing 4,000 lbs regularly with a fwd hybrid. Looks like he was simply sharing the results of his personal experiment to see what his Maverick is capable of doing. I doubt if he's doing cross country trips at highway speeds uphill. It was a short junket up a steep ramp. And if the engine remained off, he undoubtedly is being very light on the throttle during his experiment. Is it good for his truck? No. But is it likely going to make it crap out the way he's doing it. Probably not. It's probably less strenuous than when I used my brother's 1985 4 cyl 5 speed Ranger to tow an 1980 Chevy Caprice on a dolly. The truck was clearly out of its league. I smelled a bit of clutch when I had to rev the engine and slip the clutch in order to pull off at a light that was on a steep incline. I drove about 50 miles unable to get any higher than 3rd gear most of the 20 mile journey. When I successfully completed my journey, my brother was proud of what his little truck could do. We still talk about that tough little truck. Would I recommend others try it? No. But since it wasn't a regular thing, it probably did literally harm . I said all of that to say this. LIGHTEN UP everyone 😅
OP heavily edited the post. Went from sounding like a real road test to just being a boat ramp. OP's post history is equally as silly.

If this is true, (no comment) I, for one, do not want to risk getting him banned again. If you follow all those post, you will see invaluable information about your hybrids that no one else has been able to discern. Yes, sometimes he may seem abrasive, authoritative and even troll like at times. It comes from much expertise IMO. Please lay off or we'll lose him again. There! I said it!
