Hybrid or EcoBoost Maverick better for rural area?

Live in Upstate NY. 12 miles to doctor, groceries or church. Do not "need" 4wd but have questions on how often hybrid would be in elec. mode. Any thoughts.

Electric only for me has tended to be most prevalent when driving on nice flat roads, with few stops, and in decent weather. For instance, I can go to the grocery store less than a few miles away and the return trip is consistently showing me 60-70 mpgs. Under normal driving corcumstances, it's more like 30-35. Haven't dealt with snow and/or cold weather due to where I live. Having previosuly lived near where you are, 4wd might be really nice for at least a few months of the year. If you just want a front-wheel drive Mav, might as well just go Hybrid.
That said, if you need it soon... EcoBoost 100%

If you want your MAV soon then order or buy an EcoBoost. I have over 10K miles on my 22 hybrid and about 3,400 miles are electric on economy mode. In the past years, I have been surprised with FWD on snow but I'm still waiting to see on the MAV.

I find the rural backroads avg slightly better MPG than real city driving. The lower speeds 40-45 mph and rolling terrain help use the battery fully. I avg. 50mpg versus 44 in city and 41 overall.

I have a XLT Hybrid I have had it from Tn. To Ca. At the beach ,in bumper to bumper traffic, thru the desert in Aug. Up the Rockies and down , Thru monsoons in Arizona ,in snow in the Smokies about 3 inches ,up to 85 PllllUUUSS in Utah . So far have not needed all wheel drive If bad snow or floods I have a Jeep Cherokee 4X4 I will use it or stay home . This is just the facts and my opinion. Don't get me wrong I have problems with my Hybrid Brakes ,air bag ,auto high beams ,air condition smell and a few other very small things But I truly love this Truck and I have already drove my dealer crazy getting the Truck and my trade in Value I have just started about getting these things fixed and I will !!!!

Thanks for the personal experiences. Moot for the time being but I will take all into consideration.
