Where did you hear they will start building 2023 Mavericks in September?
It’s from ford. I heard it from the weekly Long McArthur Ford dealership podcast.

I think it makes complete sense that Ford will be building MY22 hybrids thru the Fall with the hybrid constraint. If ford can only build 40% hybrids in a given month, let's say March, that's only 2200 hybrids. April would be 2400 hybrids. Throw in the other constraints (18% lux package, SIBL, etc),and if demand is what they claim and we've seen, MY22 will still be rolling off the lines in the Fall and would probably become MY23.
in March they said they are going to start pushing more hybrids than ecoboost. 60% hybrid and 40% ecoboost. I know for sure that during March they will pull 3500 hybrids and 2000 ecoboost

I placed my Hybrid order in June, and I’m still waiting. It sucks, but it’s what i want, so I’m not going anywhere.

Any word from your sources?
Maverick Brand Manager said there is no hybrid issue that is delaying builds. They continue to build hybrids. We have delivered over 18 and have 2 here to deliver and 5 in transit.

I’m enjoying my Lariat AWD EB more every day. Glad not to be mixed up with all this dealer crap. Laid down sticker price back in Oct and took it home. Good timing in my search for one I guess.

This is the empire ford in Huntington
Interesting. I went to Levittown and Newins, Newins was much easier to deal with. Went over all of my options and no pressure. Levittown had two guys tag teaming me. They knew about the product but were a little pushy. Good luck.

One month off lol
Your 2022 Maverick could be built on October 23 2022 from then it takes 6 weeks or so to arrive at your dealer. We will see 2022 Mavericks arriving in customers hands in December some of whom ordered in October or November of 2021.

Its simple math that they are going to have issues building all of the orders that have been made even with ford stopping hybrid orders.
Realistically I think all of the June, July, August and September 2021 orders will be completed and shipped by July/August. October orders should still be 2022 models but those people that ordered in November up to the 11-17 cutoff might be looking at 2023 mavericks. This is for hybrid orders and is only my guess.

Placed my hybrid XL order early October of 2021. Called my dealership today and they told me that ford has told them they won’t be scheduling any hybrid until further notice because of a hybrid Atkinson engine constraint?

This is the first time I’m hearing this. I know other dealers are scheduling the hybrids at 4 hybrid : 6 ecoboost ratio.

any thoughts or inputs? This is a dealership in Longisland NY
While you won't be able to get any build details, you can confirm your order. Call Ford at 800-392-3673, they even have a Ford Maverick "Team". They did confirm I had an order in. I am sure the "Team" could speak any engine constraint.

I would be very reluctant to change or withdraw my order just because my dealer said "your hybrid won't get built" or because someone on this forum ran some numbers and said "your hybrid won't get build as a MY 2022."

There have been way too many instances where dealers have given bad information -- either because they misunderstood some announcement from Ford or because of some other reason.

There have also been way too many numbers presented on this forum as "facts" that turned out later to be just somebody's guess that got passed along in a game of internet "telephone."

Its simple math that they are going to have issues building all of the orders that have been made even with ford stopping hybrid orders.
Here are some of the many things I think we do not actually know:
  • How many hybrids have been ordered?
  • How many EcoBoost have been ordered?
  • Did Ford stop hybrid orders when it reached planned production capacity, or overshoot?
  • Is Ford planning to stop EcoBoost orders this winter or spring?
  • Will overall production rates in Hermosillo remain constant or change?
  • What will the ratio of hybrid to EcoBoost be in the coming months?
  • What will the ratio of Maverick to Bronco Sport be in the coming months?
There's much more, of course. So, to me, it's not really simple math.

I think your predictions are way off my man. I told you the reason why they cut off maverick order is to meet them before they roll out 2023.

don't know how they can do that if they are operating at a 40% constraint for the hybrid engine. doesn't make sense...

I was already able to secure a order #from ford. Im honestly going to call ford myself and let them know they have said this.
That's a long time on hold for a response that will change nothing. Whether lying, misinformed, trying to scam a customer, trying to get a stock truck to sell for major $$$ or just plain lazy - really doesn't matter - the system is broken in so far as "customer orders". Dealers are really useless these days in the current model for anything other than service. Do you you really need to talk to a dealer to order a Mach-e - nope. How about a Lightning ? - Nope. I knew more about the Maverick than the 20 year old dude that I had write up the order but it would have been just as easy to put down an online deposit and hit "buy" .
Not sure how Ford Corp can change the 1950's model of buying cars but the "stealerships" are doing nothing for the consumer and everything to line their pockets. I love reading posts about folks praising the dealerships they bought from for selling the Maverick at MSRP with no mark ups ......... isnt that what MSRP means ?
Thank goodness dealers are here to receive the truck and add things like "security package" or " nitrogen air" or "clearcoat protection " - how could I feel safe if they didnt etch the vin number on the windows for 800.00?? then adding " "Doc Fees" of 899.00 ...... When will this backwards process be fixed ? Be interesting to watch.

It won't be fixed because people continue to tolerate it and patronize dealerships. I just finished commenting on a thread where a dealer representative justified a ridiculous dealer fee for "the experience" and more than one person expressed a willingness to pay it for "the experience"

I have no patience for any of it. I've been shopping statewide for years. Now I've gone nationwide (my Maverick is ordered in PA) and I will not go back. I'm not paying for add-ons. I don't want you spamming my email or calling my phone. I'll order what I want and pick it up when it is there.
