When the vehicle is shut off the AC is also turned off.
Or is it always!?!
Is that the intermittent battery drain?

Actually, from a post in another thread, the ACCM may have left the cooling fan running when nothing was too hot to actually need it.

But the asked for jumper points are under the hood.

When the vehicle is shut off the AC is also turned off. The big question is why Ford is ignoring the fact that the 12v battery is never properly recharged.
I have a Noco battery charger that I put on the Mav now and then. Often, the indicator shows 100% quickly, so no charging was needed. At other times, it takes a significant boost, so my intermittent problem could either be a poor charge OR a parasitic load.
Back in the 80's, the only 24/7 drain on the battery was the "KAM" (Keep-Alive Memory) in the PCU. How things have changed. I suspect that many components in modern cars are never really "off" anymore. A bug in firmware or a defective semiconductor could easily cause a load to remain on. Even something like a glove box lamp will drain a car battery over time, so it doesn't have to be a huge load. I can easily envision such a bug in the HVAC controls. Such a thing would actually be pretty easy for Ford to find if they made the effort. Of course, I can also envision the bean counters at Ford arguing that this is a non-problem if the vehicle is driven regularly... I miss the days of mechanical switches, when On was ON, Off was OFF, and you could wire in your own accessories without fighting some hidden computer.

Supposedly even with AC off there is a humidistat that very slowly has the air circulated in foot area to see if the cabin is near the dew point. If it is then depending on conditions it will mix external air and/or run the defrost cycle to prevent condensate forming on glass. This very slow fan speed is to not disturb the occupants.
