Wrong speed, it cuts out about 20 mph.I asked this when I got my truck and was informed it’s a legality thing because hybrid/electric vehicles are virtually silent when operating under electric. There’s a speaker located in the front that makes that sound. There is a part you can google for about $50 that will replace the speaker to disable and not throw a code if you are interested.
And the forward speed sound just isn't that loud.
Have someone else start it and put it in Drive while you walk around truck - and see just how low it is, how far out you walk to not hear it.
Then go to a parking lot and wait for a Toyota hybrid to start in Drive.
Both are loud in Reverse.
