Huge delivery of Maverick at the DFW area Mesquite rail yard!

I'm 76 yo. My 38yo son borrowed my Hybrid Maverick for a day or two, drove it like and old lady, when he returned it....it said 50 mpg on the instrument cluster. Me, I drove it one day for about 115 miles, averaging 87-88 mph, refilled the tank, then the instrument cluster said 21.1 mpg. Averaging those two figures actually gives a quite close to real life figure of what one can expect overall. (35.55 average). Additionally, on a cross country trip, going west, I averaged 33.366, filling up 10 times. From Colorado, going west were the highest speed limits and the worst mileage, a couple of per tank averages were under 30mpg.

I'm babying this thing and it's already up over 50 mpg combined, I met a guy at the gas station ( he wasn't getting gas) and asked him about his hybrid last month. He replied he has three he uses for his business and he's getting 60 MPG in his. I thought that was hard to believe, but maybe???

On occaison...but never again.

September 20th, 2022 11am.
Just happened to be at the dealership for a unrelated issue and was informed the ordering banks had opened back up. Expedited input and acceptance by signing the contract and copy of DL. His stack of orders for Maverick was a foot tall. Single sheets. Had a Vin# by the 2nd week of November, had a window sticker by December.

I thought the first Mavericks were ordered in November of 2021. Right?

Therefor I was wondering if anyone received information from Ford saying their

First Maverick orders started in June 2021.

Thank you for the info that June 2021 was the first orders taken for the 22 maverick.

Did anyone receive a maverick or email stating that their 2023 truck was being produced that they ordered in September of 22?
