60 MPH and under is a piece of cake for the Hybrid.

62 MPH is comfortable.

65 MPH is about the maximum with my setup. Above this it's noticeably underpowered.

Still, I'm passing semis on 6% grades which I consider quite an accomplishment for this little HYBRID.
That is probably directly related to aerodynamics. Seems like a lot of trailer to me. Your truck is a 2k tow rated truck?

100% aerodynamic related.

It's like pulling a parachute.
Adding a high top air topper will help direct air over and around it. Bad pic, but you get the idea.

Is that your Maverick and topper? Did you tow before and after that topper? If so, what differences did you notice? I have that same Flated topper on my shopping list once I start towing my race cars more often.

I am interested in a Flated topper too.

Just the price is.... ouch for an inflatable.
But being able to take it off at will is attractive.

That's my old Maverick I haven't used my camper since getting the air topper, but it should make a big difference. I'm hoping to get my camper out this spring. I will use the topper and report back.

Those axle numbers look solid, and the balance across the truck and trailer seems pretty dialed in for a comfy tow. On longer trips I’ve found that small changes in load placement can smooth things out even more. I’ve also started using travelbusinessclass.com for flights so I’m not wiped out before a haul like this, which weirdly makes towing days feel a lot easier.
