This would not make numerical sense based on the sales/delivered numbers that Ford has been publishing for the Bronco Sport and Maverick. The VIN numbers would be MUCH higher if it included both vehicles. Hermosillo is stated as being able to produce 300,000 units per year total, and even with constraints on customer orders, they would pump out base stock units if there was space on the production schedule.I think the serial part is not just mavericks, it is by plant, so probably includes bronco sports, but I may be wrong.
Mine ends with A84XXX and it was issued in May 2022 and still not built yet, but currently scheduled for next week.
For example, as of July, Ford said they have produced 66,157 2022 model year Bronco Sports. Add to that 38,753 Mavericks in calendar year 2022, as of July. 19,508 Mavericks in calendar year 2021.
That is already 124,418. Not including any of the production since then, or any of the VIN numbers assigned since then for future production.
