Ok, so for 22 we had NRAXXXXX which got us through the first 99999 mavericks, then ford moved to NRBXXXXX. For 23 they seem to have started with PRAXXXXX to get us through the first 99,999. So sequential vins that denote model year. Correct? They went from N, skipped O, to avoid confusion to P?
VINs do not ever contain I, O, or Q.

Just curious, when thread title is asking for highest VIN, why do people post their own VINs that are lower than ones already posted?
I believe that it may for a couple reasons. One, people don't want to read through pages and pages of posts to see if someone is higher then them, so they just post. Two, people want to be part of the conversation and add their experience, which is not a bad thing and I don't mind at all. After all, forums are akin to a room full of people all listening to and responding others and offers a place where we can all spread information.

I for one like that many people are offering their information, especially when they include their build and spec. It lets me know if constraint items are being built. For example if someone posts that a vin with 023XX that is a Hybrid with Lux package, that lets us all know that in the first 2,400 builds, those are being built.

So, yes, this is good information for some people, like me, and I don't feel it warrants criticism. The title of the post may not accurately represent what the OP or the respondents meant the thread to include. Branching out by including more information within the confines of the thread title and allowing the thread to grow often happens in forums and is generally accepted in the community.

And some, like the ones I am talking about didn't have to read through pages and pages, nor did they offer anything of value.

Well, You seem to be the only one bothered by it. Sorry that my explanation didn't satisfy you. I hope you find something that makes you happy.

It is a variation of an age old problem on Internet forums. You ask a question people don't simply answer. Then they have all kinds of excuses for why your question is invalid: your assumptions are wrong, answering your question won't provide what you need, you question is not interesting enough.

If you want an answer to a question, provide a statement you know to be false. Anonymous Internetters love to prove people wrong. So for this thread, you might state something like, "I have the highest vin at ABC008xx." You will get tons of responses explaining how you are wrong and they have the higher vin.

This comment is severely lacking logic. I don't remember saying I was bothered by it. Other comments concurred with me. Oddest of all, you think that me asking that question means that I have yet to find something that makes me happy? That is truly bizarre thinking.

Great comment, though I suspect you might still see more than one post tossing in their irrelevant and lower vins just, because? :)

To contribute both to this thread and to the current argument, I was personally looking for a pre-existing thread to post my VIN in for a few reasons.

First, I didn't think it was worth making its own thread. Second, I thought that it might be of interest to others waiting for their Mavericks where in the line I am with my build, which has a few constraint items on it.
And third, I'm just excited about finally getting a VIN! lol

If all you personally want to know is what the highest VIN is, I believe the original post is updated with that information. Likewise if anyone wants to point people to a more appropriate thread, I'm unfortunately unaware of one.

With that out of the way, my VIN ends in A020XX, which I gather means my truck is supposed to be one of the first 2100 2023's rolling off the line.

My build is an Atlas Blue Hybrid XLT with Lux, CP360, moon roof, rear sliding window, remote start and locking bed rails. I had my salesman remove the SIBL at his recommendation. Scheduled for 12/5 as of now.

That means around 11K scheduled for the first month of 23 production. If they could keep it up for 12 months that would mean 132,000 Mavs for the year.

I can dream can't I?

Notified of build week on Nov 10th via email from Ford. Build week of Dec 12th - Vin - PRA117xx
XLT - ECO - AWD - 4K - FX4 - Lux package - CP360.

rollover order - originally ordered Jan 25, 2022 and 9-16-22 for rollover. Granger Ford order (who have always been very prompt with responses and good to work with and up front through the process - shameless plug for them lol)

Haven't had a truck since I sold my F150 in February thinking I'd get the Maverick this past summer. Hopefully get it in Jan but we shall see. Looking forward to getting it!

No VIN yet. Does Ford always send out VIN emails on Thursdays? Just would like to know what days I should check my email with anticipation (can't have phone in my building and no access to personal email...) Thanks.

My 2023 XL hybrid rollover w/hitch and full spare only has a VIN of A1029X scheduled 12/19. Not quite the highest, but close to it. I've been reading all the production post I can find over the past year+ trying to decifer the Da vinci code of when I might roughly expect my mav to be built. This thread is probably the most informative. Looks like Ford plans to build 11,000 or so between 11/23 and 12/23. Seems a little overly optimistic to me, but I'm not an automotive manufacturing specialist. Don't get me wrong, very happy to be scheduled with a VIN, but won't be enraged to get the "sorry your maverick has been rescheduled":( email.
