Hey all, I need your advice. My battery died again, went to jump start and slide the red cap down on the positive terminal (which I have done before) and the entire cap popped off and fell down. I can’t even see it. Do you think I should try and pull the left front fender well liner to see if I can find the red plastic cap? 🤦🏻‍♀️

Good chance you’ll find it in all that under splash shielding

I would get a rubber vacuum cap and be done with it!

I got it, just had to unscrew the left side splash guard and the red cap was right there. Yay

Good you found it. It could have caused a fire and the rest of the hybrid owners would have probably received another recall notice!! Replacement of the existing red cap with another that is harder to remove would have tied up vehicles for days at the local ford dealers!!! 🤔 :D
