Help me black out my ford badges.

I just picked up my Maverick XLT FX4 4K. I want to black out my Ford badges and maybe my XLT side badges. I found some matte black surrounds on Amazon for the Ford badges but I am not sure what to use for the vinyl part of the black out. I tried a search in here but was not sure the terms to use. Can anyone who has done this help point me in the right direction?

I just added the tailgate overlay from Amazon (gloss black), to better match the grill bar on my Atlas Blue w/BAP. Not a perfect match, but eliminated the wide matte-chrome border that the tailgate had.

I am also on team DIY BAP to get rid of my silver Lariat Grille Bar. I went the paint option. Bought a new front grill bar from Rock Auto for 180 to paint black. Found donor rear emblem with camera locally for 50 bucks and a front emblem from OEM for 35 bucks. My first time using spray on a project like this. Didn’t turn out bad but it’s not 10/10 (still in the working stage, enamel has to sit for a week):

If you are going to spray paint, I was amazed at how smooth plastidip turned out on my rims. No orange peel or runs at all. Plus, I hear it can be removed pretty easily (I haven’t tried that yet) if you want to return to stock looks.

I think I'm going to order some 50% tint and try my hand at putting vinyl over the logo and then use the matte black surround from Amazon.

I used the badge blackout kit from dipyourcar and it has held up incredibly well for almost 3 years now

I used Plasti Dip. Easy as can be, you can get it at Wal-Mart or any auto parts store for under $10.
