Anyone here able to help me confirm what model wheels are in the photo, and more importantly, what you think the wheel size is (17in, 18in)?

I'm fairly confident after some research that they are Matt Black, RTX Contour wheels. Would love a second opinion here though.

My biggest question is what size rim do people think this is, 17in or 18in? It appears that RTX only sells the 17in in the 5x108 bolt pattern currently, but I've seen a few postings for used ones on marketplace and kijiji that claim to be 18in rims with a 5x108 bolt pattern.

Love the look, and hoping to replicate it on my Mav.

Those are the wheels, and the RTX website shows only 17". The wheels on the truck above look to be 17s as well, they don't look like 18's to me. I can't 100% confirm that, but thats what they look like. Check the sidewall of the tire to say an 18" stock tire sidewall, those look the same as my 17s.

That's my thoughts as well. Unfortunately even after Zooming in a good bit, I couldn't make out the tire size on the sidewalls.

This will be my first time venturing into aftermarket wheels, and I figured some people here may be able to "eyeball" the rim size based on an educated guess.

The tires in the picture are Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2.
https://www.bridgestonetire.com/tire/blizzak-dm-v2/215-65R16/#

Go check your stock tires and let us know what size is on the sidewall. They make those Blizzaks in 225 65/R17 and 235 65/R17 and make ones that will fit the stock 18 inch rims that you can also get.

You don't need to eyeball anything if you plan to stick with the stock sizes just buy rims that are the same size as the R value on your tires.

I'm probably planning on grabbing new tires too.

I've currently got stock 225/60R18 tires with the stock Lariat rims which I absolutely hate (will try and sell those once the new rims/tires are in). I like the looks of the RTX Contour, and it looks as though I can only get those as a 17in rim with the Maverick bolt pattern.

Thanks for the help guys!

Those Blizzaks also come in that size. If you stay with that tire size just find 18 inch rims in the style you like. You can go sideways to a 17 inch rim and 225 65/R17 tire but that will throw off the speedometer and also how it brakes. That stuff can be adjusted using forscan though. You need to change to load weight circumference tire size for the new tires. Good thing on that is that value is already known so no need to calculate it. The brakes are an ABS module setting. The 2 parameters the braking takes into account is if the tire is an A/S or A/T tread and rim size.

If you do go to a 17 inch rim and want to reset these parameters just let me know. Truck will work without doing it just not as optimally as it could is all.

Thanks for the insight there. There's a few other things I want to do with FORScan anyhow, so changing tire parameters shouldn't be the end of the world I don't think.

The unfortunate thing is it appears I can't get these rims in an 18in version (that would be the easiest option). So 17in rims and tires seem to be the next step.

Assuming you go sideways to a 17 inch rim and 225 65/R17 tire the difference in the unloaded weight circumferences is ~2275 mm for a 225 65/R17 and ~2285 mm for the 225 60/R18 or about 10mm or .4 inch difference. Ford stores that value in mm converted to hex so once you know the loaded weight which for a 225 65/R17 is about 2251 or 2253 mm you just convert that to hex and use that number as the new tire circumference in the BCM module.

You'll have to figure out if that is the right bolt pattern.

Found a 5x108 bolt pattern for 18 inch but it is a gunmetal finish

Ya everything I'm seeing right now, seems to suggest that RTX discontinued the Contour rims in the 18in, 5x108 size.

I've managed to find a couple sets on marketplace locally that I'm trying to see if I can negotiate a deal on. Fingers crossed 🤞

I'm not a huge fan of the stock Lariat rims. I ordered the black painted rims as they looked nicer. Same tire size. The Lariat only comes with an 18".
