Thanks for mentioning that Auto Train. What a neat and relatively inexpensive way to save some miles on the vehicle and the fatigue of driving ~14hrs. I'm going to have a trade so I'll have to look into a round trip. It's almost 20hrs one way for me (Ocala to Sanford to VA to Chapman and back) but I feel like it is very worth it.In my case YES.
I placed my initial order at Crystal River Ford. They wanted $36,900 out the door.
Chapman Ford is charging me $33,400 out the door. I was drop shipping to Port Richey for $200 Courtesy Drop/Drop Ship fee. There are possible other costs by using a Drop Ship such as Dealer Installed Options (DIO's), fuel, and any misc stuff you may want.
By not shipping I can catch a one way Frontier flight from Tampa for $38, Orlando $58 to TTN. Chapman will courtesy pick up at airport. Instead of driving home, approx 990 miles, I'll catch the Auto Train from Lorton VA to Sanford FL. Depending if wife travels, train is $58 or $189 (private room).
On topic: Ordering from Chapman Ford in Philly, PA. They are also doing the 4% under that the Chapman in Horsham, PA is. Live in Ocala, FL. I did a Google search of the best Ford dealers in FL and contacted the top 10. About half of them seemed like they didn't know anything about the Maverick and the others were MSRP and that was it. I ordered a Lariat 2.5 Hybrid from Chapman and it was a little over 2k savings. For those who don't know, you can join the Florida Farm Bureau for ~$40 and they'll give you a voucher for $500 off the purchase of a Maverick (after I think 60 days).
