You can purchase a heated seat cushion.works great , easy installation and inexpensive 😊
Hello everyone. Thought I would ask for other people’s thoughts.

My truck didn’t come with the luxury package, but I still want the heated seats.

can I diy my own heated seats?
Not only install the heated seats but install a new Climate Control module that has the heated seats buttons. I can see some issues that could come up like the wiring and stuff, but thought I should see what others have to share.

I've been taking my time tackling the project, but these are the wiring diagrams I'm working from for installing heated seats in my Lariat without lux package.

I got the climate control unit last year when I bought the truck (that's installed). I also picked up OEM maverick heating elements.

Plan is to run a 3 wire cable from each seat to the climate control unit (1 wire for powering the heating element, 1 wire for the thermistor supply, and 1 wire for the thermistor signal return). The connector that ships with the heating elements is a standard Ford connector, and I was able to pull a few at the local scrap yard for this.

I'm now working to find a local shop that can do the upholstery work, because I don't trust myself to not totally screw up my OEM seats when removing and reinstalling the covers to put the elements in.

Hopefully I can get around to that soon...

Any progress on this?

Since its cold out here Nov-March im going to be using heated seat covers/pads(they sit in the seats, they have been reviewed multiple times online and on sites as good and I will slip them in early Nov(or after Halloween) and then take them out Mid or late March.. only time I really notice the cold is when its below 25ish degrees.. I just want out today it was 35 this AM even if it had heated seats id not have bothered.. so covers it is good ones with good ratings that stay put and dont slip all over have auto off(so you dont drain your battery accidentally if you forget to unplug it) and adjustable heat settings are $45-85. And they just sit in the seats, have butt and back warming. Generally heat up quicker and are actually adjustable temp wise. they are not wrapped around ones that may interfere with air bags.. Im also not ripping seats out or DIY for actual heaters or paying $$$$$$ to get them installed.

Because we have heated seats up front. I did the same for the dog in the back seat.
We can also use the heating pad, when we are sitting outside the truck. I plug it into the rear outlet of the truck.
