Anybody else have their heat not work after they start/warmup their truck with their FordPass app? I had mine do that today in 34° weather. I drove 3 miles down the road and the temp gauge stayed right near cold. As soon as I shut it off with the key and turned it back on BOOM temp gauge climbed right up to normal and heat was back, nice and hot.

Nope. I have a remote start scheduled 5 days per week (some days as early as 5:45 am, some days as late as 8:40 am), and each day it is blasting the defrost until I "start" the truck with the key and it kicks down to a lower setting. Weather has been low 30's each day.

Mines usually just like that. Today was the first time I’ve ever seen such a thing. Just was weird how possibly the thermostat is controlled by computer.

Very delayed for me today as well. Remote starting with phone app and took almost 4 minutes to have the blower turn on. Also got the worst mpg for an real trip of 21mpg/ with half electric mode in a hybrid

Hi there! If you are able to send us a private message with your VIN and dealership info, I'd be happy to look into this for you.

Thanks will follow up want to get the low speed brake lockup software/hardware service looked into as well there is a fix.
Next use was also a remote start via fordApp on iphone. took twice as long in the warming up before using the key to start to drive than time before. The heat blower was on before turning key then turn off blowing just as I turned the key. It remained off for two minutes then turned on the blower again while driving. That was a longer trip and had regular 50mpg common for that route.
Both trips the heat was preset to MAX

This happened to me again today with a regular key start and set to full heat. Ran for 20 minutes or so total. Went down the road a few miles and then parked it and let it idle for 10 minutes. Heat came out warm but not super hot, with a faint oil/maybe antifreeze smell. Temp gauge stayed between C and first notch. Shut the truck off and turned it back on. Temp gauge came right back to the normal operating position and heat was nice and hot again. My guess is these engines have an electric thermostat vs the normal mechanical one.

It's odd, most of the time it works fine, but once or twice the blower wouldn't turn on when remote started. Using the key to turn it on, then off, then back on, clears the issue.
Been camping with my teardrop (aka a pruis) and left in max hot mode to warm up quick. But yesterday when the temperature was 72 the engine wouldn't turn off and the main traction battery was full. Had to switch AC on and below outside air to cut off the engine.
Back to the Maverick, spent a few hours playing with remote start last summer and found the 12v battery charging was in safety mode 13.8v when remote started, so doesn't 'charge' battery much for those 15mins. Think low 12v keeps the blower off.
