Oops, my apologies for not noticing that this thread is about the hybrids. Thx @jsus for the explanation.

Of course the EcoBoost 2.0 has a different battery under the hood, that caused my misunderstanding:

Maybe I should live up to the alleged reputation then, no? ;) πŸ˜‚

We are STILL waiting for our exhaust system mess to be fixed. We've been waiting since late January/early February and were first told the part would arrive in the third week of March...then end of April...then end of May...nothing yet...! Now we see there's a recall due to fires under the hood. This was after the air bag recall.

Our truck has been out of inspection since end of March...!!!

Time to make use of the Lemon Law?

You'd be more than eligible in some states. I would definitely pursue it with how long you have been waiting.

The service rep wasn't sure yesterday when I asked him, but I was told at the time of the part order a few months ago, they're waiting on a new version of the heat exchanger assembly and could take awhile.

I wonder if there's a way I can tell looking at it.
I would think the weight would be different

UPDATE: On Wednesday, I spoke with our local Ford people and was told that a shipment of the exhaust system would be taking place on June 16th and they should have it by the 18th. So I requested a schedule date for the 19th, as we have a memorial service to go to out of state on the 20th. The earliest opening they had was the 29th. So I asked to speak to a supervisor. That person was supposed to look into what could be done and call me back. No call came. Instead we got a text message saying the part we need may be in by "the end of the month" ~ which is just what we are told every month. Today I learned WHY we get that message each month. It's because Ford CANCELS ALL ORDERS monthly and the Service Dept has to resubmit the order!!! Even the supervisor I spoke with thinks that's crazy. She did offer us a loaner car, which we may take her up on. It's sure to have crappy mileage, but at least we'll have wheels and won't have to add miles to our older car. Best of all, she said she would charge it to Ford.

It doesn't matter that they set it as an Emergency order. Ford just doesn't have the part or shipping is an issue ... you know, same thing we heard for months and months while waiting for our truck in the first place.

So, I called Ford Customer Service. That was frustrating because I got cut off from the first person I was working with, and the second needs me to speak to the first. But he did see that the first person HAS expedited the order. So, we'll see if that helps at all.

I called again and spoke with the first agent. He confirmed that he has expedited it, but it all, of course, depends on whether the part is in existence and when it can be shipped.

So, we wait, we wonder. At least I have contact information of an agent. I'll update as I hear anything.

NEW UPDATE!!
We've been waiting since February for the cat/exhaust part(s) so our Maverick can be whole again and finally get inspected (it's 2.5 months out of inspection). Each month we hear "new date is end of NEXT month." I learned that Ford cancels all orders monthly and they have to be resubmitted!!! Local manager could NOT get the part, even when it was marked as an Emergency, so she suggested I call Ford Customer Service. I called them last Wednesday and was assigned an agent. On Monday I got a text telling me that the part(s) will arrive on the 22nd. So it's definitely the thing to do if you're waiting for a needed part and the supply is questionable. Be the squeaky wheel! Ford Customer Service #: (866) 631-3788. Have your VIN # handy.

Interesting. Never had this issue on my Escape but I've had all the others ones you Hybrid Mav owners are experiencing.

Ford and their AGM batteries....

Not looking good.

Fixed. Confirm new exhaust system. Long wait, but fixed. My code has not been on since the days of 20F.

This just in!

β€œFord: Good Afternoon, I spoke to Anna and she relayed the part arrived today and she has spoken to you and scheduled you for July 11th. Repairs should take the same day to complete.”

FINAL UPDATE!

Our Maverick pickup truck got repaired today!!
We'd been waiting for parts since February, and it had been out of inspection since the end of March. And because it took them three days to do the repair, after saying it would take one day, they gave us a free oil change. Best of all, it's now inspected through July of 2024!

AND! Our gas mileage post repair went up! Whoo hoo!! Just driving local roads it was up to 47mpg, from around 42.

So now we're down to just two recalls: the battery cable issue and the under hood fire issue.

(Every now and then we stop and remind ourselves that we got a '22 at MSRP and 1.34% financing.)
