1st time Ford Mobile Service at home user

Thanks to a $25 off coupon, having a Works done at my house is much cheaper than having it done at the Dealer/Quick Lane. Any advice on what to watch for? Do they prefer the driveway or in the garage?

I'm wondering if they stop home repairs in the extreme heat? When visited my house to do the latest software recall and the tech said he would come out for oil changes or other repairs. Our garage is full, so he worked in the driveway.

Good morning, I've had mine done twice in the driveway, rotation included, but we also live in a climate that would warrant that. Both times were well worth it and rather do that than sit in a showroom being pitched by over zealous salesmen!

I’ve used the mobile service from my local Ford dealer several times for oil changes, tire rotations, and software updates. Jesse, my technician, is a great guy. He does all the work right in my driveway. He backed his service truck up and goes to work. He Does an outstanding job and always checks all the things that they normally do if you go to the Qwik oil change service at the dealer. He uses my AmsOil an oil filter and it only costs me $30! If you’re happy with the work, don’t forget and tip them!

I let them have the entire garage, the sun here is brutal. I was impressed with the oil change machinery. They use a vacuum pump connected to the oil fill to keep oil from leaking out when the drain plug is remove. Then a pump is connected to to the oil drain and the vacuum is released. No drips on the floor.

Do you warn them in advance you have your own supplies? Although I'm fine with Ford oil & filter (if its Ford labeled).

It's a personal preference for me to tip good service for any provider... and so far it has paid off in subsequent interactions.
