Edited, if it provides a camera rear view rather than a mirror rear view I don't believe you will like it....

what do you mean? I'm using it as a replacement for my current dash cam. Thought it would be useful to replace the mirror and include dash cam at same time.

I edited my post above now that I can open the link provided. If it provides a camera rear view rather than the standard mirror rear view I don't think you will like it, but check it out and report back.

One of my trucks has a rear view mirror that is selectable between the standard mirror view or using a rear-facing camera for the view, and for every day use I don't like the camera view. It does help somewhat when backing up a trailer because the factory camera is mounted high where the bed light is.

I researched them before, and none of them seem high quality. There might be a superb option at the $500+ mark but not sure I'd want to go that far.

installed one today without using the straps . Direct mount to the windshield and it works perfectly. Fully detachable and I can put one in a Mav when I get one next year.

It’s a dash cam mirror so the camera is inside the mirror. I mounted the whole thing onto the bracket as seen in pics.

Yes, this has front facing camera, rear camera and reverse parking mode. When putting the car in reverse it switches to the view with lines for you to park and when you drive you can do a split view with front and rear view. It records front and rear. The name of the mirror is Vantop H612T mirror dash cam. You can get one for cheap on Amazon. When the mirror isn’t powered on you can use it as a traditional rear view mirror. Nothing negative so far except the GPS lock is a bit laggy.

I have been looking at that same brand. This is the one I am looking at. I will have to figure out how to do the rear cam.

Ok, so are you planning to install the rearview camera? I 've been thinking about this as well and thought that a brake light camera might be best. It would be great for viewing traffic, blind spots and bed cargo. I would still keep the stock camera and use it for parking purposes.
