So weird question here but bear with me for a second. The Maverick is my first truck and I'm not used to an open bed. I'm used to a car or SUV where it can be locked up tight. Have you ever had your bed storage cubby cover/plate stolen?
I live in a rural area and don't have to worry about that but sometimes I head into the city for a costco run or a doctors appointment and there are people who will take anything thats not tied down, and that cubby doesn't lock so it can be a target for the right person. What they'd do with it, I don't know.
Again, stupid concern, I know. I'm just looking at the possibilities.

OK you confused me---you said the cubby got stolen. I'm thinking someone took the whole works out of the bed/fender. It's the door you're talking about. Oh yea--if it ain't nailed down it will make it to marketplace. Side bar hold-downs as well. If it's a Lariat, better invest in a hard tonneau or you may find a slashed tonneau in the morning with things missing. Ya gotta love this world we're living in, but it's all we got.So weird question here but bear with me for a second. The Maverick is my first truck and I'm not used to an open bed.
