My truck will be lowered when it comes in and I want to put 20-22" wheels on it without them sticking out of wheel wells. It seems like 5x108 wheels that are 20-22" are not abundant. Have any of you used adaptors for a different bolt pattern and how did it impact offset?

I checked Canada wheels, their site has about 30 choices of 20inch and 8 or 9 choices of 22 inch wheels.

Have you looked at Jaguar takeoffs? 5x108, offsets are pretty close

I would never recommend adaptors. there’s a lot of wheel choices from colors to offset on many websites even if you have a brand you prefer check them out.

I got a set of 16" 5X108 steelers from an old 2013 Ford Focus I used to drive, wonder if those would fit, caliper

The Focus and Maverick have the same hole spacing but the Maverick studs are 2mm larger.

What about the Mav caliper, bigger than the Focus? Rubbing?!...

Thank you. If you are familiar with offset and wheel adapters, how much negative offset does a spacer add?

It adds whatever thickness spacer you decide to run. 25mm adapter= 25mm impact on offset.

I agree adapters aren't the best choice, that said, I've run them on other vehicles. Find your wheels first, then order adapters so you can choose the thickness and more importantly get the adapters hubcentric to your hub and wheel, hopefully without using separate rings.

Part of the issue with adapters is pushing the centerline of the rim out further, increasing stress on hub. You can minimize that if you're going to a higher offset wheel. Mavericks have a 37.5mm offset with either a 7 or 7.5 wide rim. So if you go up to a 55mm offset wheel and run a 20mm adapter, you are really only pushing wheel out 2.5mm from current centerline. Watch your rim width when calculating clearance.

I ran quality us made hubcentric adapters adapters for 40k miles, no issues. I retorqued any time wheel was off, never found any loosening.

If you go to big name tire shops, most wont touch your vehicle with adapters. Need to diy or find an independent.

Downside to quality adapters is the cost offsets much of the savings in switching wheels.

Here is a good calculator for seeing what effect offset has. Also a good site to lookup compatible wheels.
