I'm not really that young (I'm assuming you mean someone in their 20s) but I get what you are saying. I had a similar feeling about my wife's honda fit. loved that car. I actually used to load 2x10s in that thing. I'd stick them out the passenger window at an angle and into the back seat/trunk area. pretty awesome little car.

I used to have a Honda Fit for a work commuter. Honestly an amazing little car. Tons of cargo space with the back seats folded down. I sold it with 327K miles for more than I paid for it My wife has slowly stole the maverick away from me and ended up buying a used Chevy Bolt EUV to replace the Fit.

I rented an overseeding machine from Home Depot this weekend and had a different experience.

A guy in a Ram 1500 said hey that looks nice lowered. And then the employee commented when we were loading that 'at least we don't have to lift it very high' and he chuckled.

I didn't take pics of it in the bed, but here we are about to load it back up to return. BTW yes I know it's early to overseed, I felt good about the gamble because it is going to be cool, rainy and cloudy the next 10 days... or so they forecast.

But I wasn't done. On the drive home after dropping it off, a young man in a silver Mustang 5.0 asked me at a stoplight if it was stock I said no, I lowered it, and he asked if I wanted to race and I just laughed in reply and gave a thumbs up.

I was loading some 2X4 and 2X6's at Home Depot, while I was strapping them down some guy stopped and said "Next time you should buy a real truck with an 8 foot bed"! A few good comebacks rushed into my head, but I took the high road and ignored him. Not sure why some people cant keep to themselves. What do you think a good comeback would have been?

I would have said, your wife liked my truck last night.

I get almost four time the gas milage you do and can safely haul up to 1400 lbs.

I'm not sure that math works out even with a hybrid, compared to a diesel truck, but the OP has an ecoboost.
