Got dissed at the Depot!

I was loading some 2X4 and 2X6's at Home Depot, while I was strapping them down some guy stopped and said "Next time you should buy a real truck with an 8 foot bed"! A few good comebacks rushed into my head, but I took the high road and ignored him. Not sure why some people cant keep to themselves. What do you think a good comeback would have been?

I go to HD all the time. A pickup with a 8 foot bed is rarely, if ever seen. If you are really hauling material, you get a flatbed.

Very few of the truck out there have an 8ft bed anymore. I had to order my other truck with an 8ft bed. Most opt up to a 6.5 ft and call that a "long bed" these days. Most of the trucks I see are 5.5ft beds. You should have ask the guy to show you his 8ft bed... LOL

Had the opposite happen. I was at Lowe's in New Bern, NC strapping down some 2x6x12s with the tailgate in the half-up position. A young man walked by. He gave my Maverick a good look, then turned around and asked, "How you like your Maverick?" We talked a minutes or two. He was very interested.

Bro why do people have to be like this? I don't like Jeeps, I've still never walked up to a Jeep owner and been like "Haha your car sucks". Like I could be going crazy, but it almost feels like people are getting ruder and more confrontational, and it's just sad. There's literally nothing to be gained by being an asshole to someone, sorry you have to deal with dickheads like that.

Young people really gravitate towards the maverick. I think it's because it feels like for the first time a brand gives a shit about us. So many products are either super expensive, or cheap but shit. The maverick feels like one of the first affordable new vehicles I've seen where it felt like the team who made it really wanted to make a special and appealing product. Like a brand wanting to give people a good, but affordable vehicle, that's kinda rare, all too often it's one or the other.
