This is exactly why I am not getting a levelling kit, as I will have bikes in the back a lot of the time and don't want it to be squatting / blinding other drivers with the headlamps pointed up etc etc.
I think the same thing. I think the height is good. If you add some weight it will be level. Just my opinion, the ranger is to high. It looks like it has more wheel gap them my ram 1500 did. Also people are saying the add ons on a maverick are close to a ranger price. Yes if you're maxing out a maverick and get a base ranger. I think the maverick is perfect size and height. Can't wait to get mine.

I put a set of air bags in mine, can't tell they are in there when it's empty and loaded with an entire bed full of engines, cylinders heads and crankshafts for machining was perfectly flat with 25 psi in the bags.

Anyone hauling loads/trailers, air bags are truly a magical item.

I'm curious what your sticker says though. If you thought the round number was specific to your truck then you thought you only went 150lbs over payload when in actuality it could have been 400lbs+ over what is recommended. I'm just curious to see how strong the little trucks really are over what they are spec'd.
I loaded the truck myself with a home depot guy and I put on what I could see it could take and I started off driving at 40 then went up to 60 with no issues. I own a contracting company and been pushing Ford trucks way beyond their noted limits for fourty plus years b

All I'm asking for is the number your sticker says dude. I'm not doing any arguing about pushing a truck past it's limit. I'm impressed with it and genuinely curious how much over you pushed it with it working completely fine.

I like the low load height of the Maverick...itmakes getting things up ramps easier!

As for Max payload...I am sure manufacturers leave a safety margin in their published limits.
of course, we don’t know what that is...as one who has been torn between the Maverick and the SC-I have been impressed with what I have seen of the Maverick’s capabilities....

No he didn’t. He just keeps repeating manufacture suggests 1,500. Some base hybrids are higher than that, some loaded up lariats with all the fixings are around 1,200.

I'm all for going over the limits, but keep the speed down just to be safe.

I could of hauled less but I choose to haul the 1650 lbs to make one trip and the Maverick handled it fine. I now know my trucks limitations.
Not till ya try one more bag lol! Just messing, i work within the payload margin off error myself. My unibody comanche is good for 2200lb but i added helper springs and have hauled 2350 and tools and 275lb ass. Rode low and leaned in turns but. Slow wheel input and kept it under 50. All good and thats with winding hilly roads patched pavement driveway, and a steep incline gravel switchback driveway.
