OP, as a fellow Ecoboost owner, I'm curious about how you made out selling?

Yea . have toyota Camry and motorcycle . motorcycle season (leather weather ) coming soon in Florida .
Thank you for replying.
I certainly understand cutting down on expenses.
Just an thought.
Adding a Class 2 hitch to your Camry, could be an option for you.
If you don't have room to store that.
For less than $20 a day, U-Haul rents small trailers including motorcycle trailers.
Or
Harbor Freight makes a handy 4x8 foldable trailer. I used one for years. It is heavy.
Because I'm older now and not as strong. I would probably go with
Northern Tools 4x8 Aluminum folding trailer.
I would put aluminum diamond plate flooring which I would cover with spray in bed liner for traction.

Yea . I was considering a hitch for plateform on Camry but can rent a truck from home depot ( $20 ) close by or Uhaul if really needed . had a trailer from harbor freight before ( very useful also gone). Had enclosed 10x6 utility trailer until last year but sold . unfortunately not getting any younger (74 here) . Thanks for info .

My latest offer from Carvana came in around $28K as well. Mine sits a lot too with only 15K miles after 3 years. I just can’t part with it…yet!

Have a buddy, retired Lawyer. Subaru Crosstrek 2022 model with 5,500 miles In three years.
Sold his Nissan truck, it just sat

Smart move OP.
I sold my commuter car for similar reasons. Moved within bicycling distance to work. Had a truck and a car that literally sat all week long. I technically could've made do with the car, but opted to sell it and keep the truck for the extra utility. The gas mileage doesn't really matter since I don't drive much except on road trips.

Same reason why I sold my utility trailer. The U-hauls around me have enough inventory that they can do same-day rentals, so I decided it's not worth it to keep an open utility trailer around that I use maybe four times a year when I can rent an enclosed trailer for $20 a day.

Hell, it was the same with my F-250. When it really came down to it, I only needed it to tow my car hauler, which was maybe 6 times a year. When it was all said and done and I sold the truck, I could've rented an F-250 from Enterprise Truck Rental and paid the mileage fee for the times I needed to tow the car hauler and it would've been cheaper than owning my F-250.

Sold my maverick today . will miss it . utilized for just a month shy of 4 years . Only 10,400 miles so not driving it much . could not justify keeping it . no more upkeep ( insurance , oil changes , recalls and ECT ) . Forum has been very helpful .
Nice. Everyone finds their own path. For me, as I get older, it was the sports car that was always sitting around. For all of my adult life, since finishing college and getting a good paying job, I’ve always had an econo commuter, an awd utility vehicle for camping, off-roading and Home Depot runs and a sports car for weekend canyon drives and going out on the town. Got rid of my last sports car 4 years ago at age 51. It was seeing less than 1,000 miles a year. The Maverick still gets about 5k miles a year, mostly as a means to carry around my mountain bike. Gotta keep exercising to prevent obesity and heart attack. 🤣

We must have a slow market here in WNC. I keep reading about all you guys that get more than you paid for your trucks. But my mint 2022 X'LT LUX AWD CP360 ECO with 36,000 miles and brand new Michelin Defender 2 tires - it is valued by the dealership and car sites at around $22,000. That's about $10,000 less than I paid (with taxes and fees in delivery) three years ago. Honestly that seems about right.

I must say. I'm not a hybrid fan. But you hybrid guys totally seem to be winning the depreciation war
nah, my '22 with 30k miles on it (pure base 0 option xl) is value at 19K and I paid 23K - seek other outlets.

You've said yourself in previous posts that Mavericks are common in your area, perhaps that's why the used market is more suppressed in price. More used ones available and maybe some with even fewer miles out there nearby.

I've never owned a "powerful" vehicle (though I've driven plenty). You know, something that really pushes you into the seat when you whomp on the throttle. I've always gone with the logical choice, which is to get something barely adequate or slightly underpowered.

I've come close to saying eff it and buying an F-150 RCSB 5.0L with the 2.9L Ford Performance supercharger (700whp!) but I'd rather put that money toward retiring early and buy a cheap 2-door Wrangler JK or JL for off road adventures.

Wrangler is also a logical choice cuz I'd rather have something that has license plates, airbags, and real 4WD with low range than a side-by-side that costs the same money.

My Wife and I have considered downsizing to one vehicle but she wants it to be an SUV and I want it to be a Truck! As far as I am concerned Trucks are more versatile but I don’t think I will ever be able to convince her!!

I only have 9780 miles on my 2023 Maverick XLT Hybrid over two years. That works out to just under 5000 miles a year.

We did one 2800 mile driving vacation last year so without that the mile usage was around 3500 a year.

My wife's 2021 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid is now the vacation car so the 3500 mile usage per year is what usage I will have.

Over the 9 months this year I have used it for 2470 miles which works out to 3300 miles over the year.

I am retired so only driving for social events and local shopping.
