Ok was playing with Forscan today and you can enable gear shift number display in auto mode not just manual mode.

Good Job! I notice you’re in ECO mode. You’ll have to let me know your mpg’s as I never leave SPORT or LOBO modes:)

I’m lucky to maintain 20mpg I think. Only use my paddles - except reverse. Need to let the TCU do that shift.

Yeah I use ECO when I don't want the aggressive shifting and my exhaust a little quieter not for mpg, all the modes including Normal 1st through 3rd are sometimes too much when I want to just chill drive. ECO is the smoothest shifting and it reduce A/C compressor strain went running A/C. My around town mpg in ECO is only 18 to 19, I have a heavy foot.

I really miss this from my F150 - what was the Forscan value that you changed to see this number?
Well with the newer version of FORScan you don’t have to change values really anymore, it’s an enabled or disable. This is my screen shot of what I changed and I believe this is under PCM module.

Thanks, found it in IPC. Easy change - wild to see how long this truck holds out before it gives you 7th gear cruising (like 92kmh+).

I changed the same boost thing you did too, but haven’t seen anywhere to display that

Anyone knows how to display gear in the instrument cluster?
Shows at the bottom when I’m in Manual and shift with my paddle shifters.

The main thing is that it's in IPC (thanks to usedtobf150), not PCM as originally mentioned.

Then I hadn't used forscan in a couple months so I had to refresh my memory on how it worked. Doh.

The least expensive way to get a gear display on your dash is to buy a used Ranger - they’ve had them for years.

The best way to get a gear display on your Maverick is to buy a Lobo. The quick shift 7 speed will show you the gear you’re in as quick as you can shift them.

Edit - your 26 Tremor has the same physical power train as the Lobo - but the Lobo has a different dash gear display & “M”button on the rotary shifter that would require mods beyond just reprogramming the ECU…
My 26 displays the gear on the Tremor.

I know right! I have notice that in ECO mode it will shift up quickly to 7th gear but in all the other modes it definitely holds out.

Yeah I was really hoping for some type of boost gauge in the cluster screen to show up but no dice. So I went with the Aeroforce muti-scan gauge and defrost vent pod, it turned out really nice and now I can monitor more the just boost.

But also, why does the ecoboost not get a 'this trip' log? And withholding an engine hours screen like on the f150? Strange omissions that are so simple and useful.

Oh well, I might end up with a scan gauge like you. Ford doesn't add features to the dash in hindsight; so unless there's more ForScan digging done.... and I'm too chicken!

Yeah I was diving a loaner Bronco Sport and it had more in My Menu then the Maverick. Another thing that grinds my gears is that Ford took away auto up/down windows (WHHYYYY) no reason for that at all. 25 Lobo 702A has it but take it away from 26 Lobo 702A, that doesn't make any since.
