Gas cap problems

Over topping off the tank can let gas get into the blow off vent, that can collect dirt and clog over time. At worst your emission charcoal filter can get contaminated.
My second click is not needed but I’d never do a third or fourth click.

Okay.
Is it possible to take a picture of your current MPG screen?
This is a current picture of mine taken 5 minutes ago.

I know this back and forth gets frustrating but I'm just trying to troubleshoot what could possibly be the problem.

My humble opinion:

It sounds like a calibration error between the in-tank sending unit and the display gauge. As far as I know, the only thing to try would be to have the dealer's service department replace the sending unit under warranty, which may or may not resolve the issue. Sending units just send an electrical resistance value to the display, not an actual fuel level in the tank and they are not always right.

Noteworthy;
Everyone who flies a high wing Cessna aircraft knows there are only 2 times that the fuel gauge is right.
- When the tank is filled to the top and the gauge reads Full.
- When the engine stops running and the gauge reads Empty.
Everything in between is just an estimate.

Couple of things I've noticed on my Lariat hybrid that may help.

The fuel gauge is a little more sensitive to downhill situations compared to other vehicles I've owned.
It doesn't take very much nose low to change the reading
and
it does react to changes a little slow.

I fill to the first shut off click, then I slow fill til the second click then stop, that’s only about two tenths of a gallon btw.
No problems at all.

I had a problem similar with a jeep wrangler and it turned out to be a faulty fuel level sensor which meant at least in a Jeep replacing the fuel pump as it was unit.
Assuming you are still under warranty I would take it to the dealer

Does anyone see there gas gauge drop from full to three quarters after fill up I am thinking gas is running out of the filler neck when full, not over filling tank seems to drop pretty quick

I have to agree with Glen, if you lost that much, you'd see or at least smell it. Must be a gauge issue.
