I'm not sure there are any major issues with the automatic transmission, at least not that I can find here on the forums. So far I've only found three reports of significant issues, not counting the reset of the training computer (software issue, not really a transmission issue).

I think there have been more than 40,000 Ecoboosts made, so if the transmissions were problematic, I think we would be hearing a lot more about it. The few that have mentioned problems seem to be the exception, not the rule.

All good driving rules, and I'll add a couple: leave a LOT more stopping distance than normal in case your wheels lose traction and you skid and need to correct it. SLOWLY apply gas or brake so tires can maintain maximum grip. I also tend to "square off corners" when turning even in rainstorms or aftermath of an overnight freeze so my steering front wheels are pointed straight more of the time and hitting slick patches doesn't have as much effect as it does when turning on ice or wet roads where oil leeches to the surface after rains.

You might be waiting awhile... If by some miracle they offer an AWD hybrid you can be guaranteed it wont be 4k tow. They are gonna start pushing all electric soon so no idea what the future holds for ICE (which includes hybrids), especially on a small vehicle like this.
I think the "All Electric " plan took a hit this weekend with the California governor asking people to not plug in cars this week or holiday weekend. And, they're not building any more power plants, it's only going to get worse.

and they rushed to extend closure of last Nuke power plant for 5 more years so they have enough capacity for basic living necessities not even counting EV charging. Total $hit$how out there and 1 of MANY reasons my wife and I got out after living majority of our lives there from childhood to retirement.

Would never buy a vehicle without AWD or 4WD

Tow package not avail on FWD.

FWD is good in snow with winter tires, AWD is better still. The difference in mpg is not significant enough for me to sacrifice Tow or increased winter traction

No complaints about mpg on my gas Mav. It’s peanuts to run for my use.

bought the Mav because of its size and price. Not interested in cross shopping F150’s.

need tow and AWD though. Not negotiable. Don’t need or particularly even want Hybrid.
