Full size spare for lariat luxury package?

I created a 2.0 AWD build with a lariat FX4 luxury package with the full size spare. When it got delivered the option wasn’t on there. I haven’t dropped the tire to look yet but the dealer is saying it comes with it included in the package. Anybody know for sure? When I get a chance I’ll take some pics but I find it strange that online it’s an option but the dealer didn’t order it. And glancing at it, it looks much smaller than a full size.

I’ve looked around the forums and people complained it isn’t a real full size but didn’t see any mention of whether they had it “included” in the lariat luxury package. Thx!

It only came standard on the hybrids. It was optional on non-hybrid trims.

Yeah there was some confusion about the full size spare initially, because the 2022 build and price tool originally said the Luxury package came with full-size spare. But as we all know by now, the build web site is not very accurate in general.

You're better off, you can build your own TRUE full size spare tire/wheel or you can just purchase one that someone offloads here if you don't mind the smaller in size "full size spare tire" that Ford gives you which is actually a 215/60R17.

Looks like all Mavericks come with two different spare tires:

1. a space saver spare tire, donut, or temporary tire, size T155/70D17
2. If you purchase a hybrid or pay extra for a so called "Full Size Spare" surprise, the size is 215/60R17 . This is not the same as the OEM tire/rim on any Maverick.

Please note, the spare does not have a Ford OEM TPMS factory sensor.

Yes, a full size spare comes standard on the Hybrid lariat lux. the spare comes on a Steely 17" rim which is a full size tire on some of the trucks. I have heard that the 225 size didn't fit under the truck, thus the 215. I did have to use the spare when I had a flat. It was easy enough to change at home. Once the regular tire was repaired, I put it back on with no issues. You will get a tire warning light on the dash during the process due to the flat tire or missing tire when you leave it at the shop.

Larger tires fit just fine and Ford does not offer a true FULL SIZE SPARE !

Read the placard that is on the drivers side door jam to see what size you have. Surprise,
no fullsize spare.

Cool thanks for the info guys! I’m going to chat w the dealership and see what they’ll do since they botched the order. Maybe I’ll get a deal on an actual full size spare from the parts dept!

It allows you drive on after a flat a long ways at highway speeds instead of 50-55 on the donut. It also saves weight to help improve gas mileage. Hell, most new cars don't even come with any kind of spare. Just a can of fix-a-flat

I'm guessing people are chopping off the teeth to help with bigger spares or no trailer hitch?
That or Mavericks sizing may vary?
I had the tire shop put my Pirelli onto the steel rim and it did not fit. They told me but I didn't believe them based on what's posted here. Only option would have been bending or shave down the teeth or let the air out of the tire.
To me those are not optional. Bending or grinding could be tragic in a bad accident, not worth it to me.
I went back to the tiny "not a" full size spare.
Not a fan, thanks ford for selling a full size that's not.
