2025 Maverick Hybrid Lariat AWD with 4K Tow. This past Monday I towed a flatbed trailer with about 250# for a total weight of about 1,800#. The Maverick had zero issues towing but for the dashboard fuel gauge was frozen for the complete 100 mile trip, never moved when in Tow-Haul Mode. The Maverick screens that should report current MPG reported 0 MPG and never changed. Only way to get the Fuel Gauge to work [move] was to switch driver mode to normal, then the fuel gauge dropped about 1/3 of a tank in one second. The real-time MPG reading was still frozen at 0 MPG. When I power OFF the Maverick the shutdown screen reported 29 MPG for this trip which seems believable. It seems Ford has a software bug when in Tow-Haul mode. Any other Maverick owners seen the fuel gauge problem I have? It will piss off the drive to run out of gas on the highway because the Fuel Gauge stopped working when in Tow-Haul. Seems like and issue to report to NTSB. Per visit to Ford dealership two weeks ago for seatbelt light recall the truck software is up to date.

I had the "this trip" display stay frozen at 0 km and didn't display fuel consumption the other day but I haven't had this

I have also had the same issue you had before. Changing the Drive Mode would not correct the issue you [ & I ]. Only way to get the My Trip info to start working again was to power OFF the Maverick and wait about 30 minutes for the Maverick to completely goto sleep [all the relays stop clicking]. My new issue with Tow-Haul mode is really bad with the Fuel Gauge being stuck, could cause a wreck.

I had the same thing happen once on a 3 mile commute drive, but haven't seen it again and haven't taken the time to try and replicate the issue. I think I'd started my '25 Lariat Hybrid, turned it off for something after I'd backed out of the garage, then turned it back for the drive. But not 100% sure now the exact sequence since that was a few weeks ago. The "this trip" economy never moved off of 0. But I switched to trip 1 and that was registering properly. It's such a short trip, that I didn't expect any fuel gauge movement.

Ford is a car company pretending to be a tech company. Tesla is a tech company pretending to be a car company. Wouldn't be great if a car company just stuck to being a car company. We live in hope.
