2024 Maverick FX4. At around 1100 mi my wastegate actuator began to fail. Replaced under warranty. 7 Days later the second one started to fail. They replaced it again along with the PCV clean side hose. It's running okay but it seems like my fuel consumption has went up. It may be my imagination because I didn't pay close attention before the repair. Can anyone tell me what your fuel consumption meter in your gauge cluster is dropping to under hard acceleration pedal to the floor. Mine is currently dropping to four or five miles to the gallon with the pedal fully depressed. Please and thank you.

It's possible your wastegate failure kept the computer from giving you full gas to the injectors.

My truck doesn't give instantaneous mpg except on a useless bar.

Kinda think that the waste gates were part of the "Foot to the Floor" driving. Just a thought.

I went very easy on it the first 1,000 miles. I only hard accelerate when passing and getting up to hideaway speeds, I don't abuse it. It's just when I'm hard accelerating it drops to four or five miles to the gallon. The factory actuator went bad, the replacement lasted a week, I now on my third. If it goes bad something is wrong with the wastegate in the turbo. There's too much resistance in the wastegate and it's burning up the actuator servo. It's not a complicated system.

I bought my 2.0L EcoBoost FX4 on 23 May 2024. Went through the 2000K mile break in. I have the Original Turbo Waste Gate and 26,789 miles on her now. And I do NOT drive easy. I drive 85 miles a day back and forth from work. All Interstate at 80 to 85 MPH multiple "Foot to Floor" passing.
