I have been searching (and cannot find) why the front tires poke out further than the rear on a Maverick. Did Ford make the front wider than the rear for a reason? Do I have to buy spacers for the rear to make my truck look normal? (I prefer not to use spacers) I look through all the aftermarket tire and wheel threads and love what I see (except most have the front tires poking out further than the rear). Can someone please explain this in layman's terms? I have already purchased 18x8 wheels with a +40 offset - for the 2023 Maverick(s) that I have ordered (fingers are crossed just to get one- XL & XLT HyBrids).

Not sure why Ford designed the Maverick that way. But I know wider in the front and narrower in the rear improves turning radius.

Pretty common to have a slightly wider front track than the rear on FWD and FWD based vehicles, it usually promotes better stability and reduces understeer by promoting better weight transfer.

I can't say I noticed it on mine, but remember the Dusters, that WAS noticeable. The Maverick has a less than 5/8" difference front to rear, divide that by 2 & I don't think you can see that with the naked eye, it's more of an illusion because the front fenders curve inward a bit from back to front.

Great thanks for pointing that out - one of those can't unsee things!
