I have the Bugflector II, not installed yet. Will soon. I've had the then current one for the 2001 Ranger for seventeen years and had no windshield or paint chips in that time.
Same here. I have the bug deflector still in the box and hopefully I will try and install this weekend. Too many people here had fitment issues so I will not be surprised if it does not work for me as well.

I installed the AVS Bugflector II on my 2024. Only 1,200 miles on it, so I can't say if it's effective yet. But I had the same deflector on my Sport Trac for 9 years and never had a windshield chip.

Your Mav is the same color as mine (will be). From that first picture, it seems that the front bumper is very vulnerable. What do you think about 3m PPF on it. Available on EBay for $175

Any trouble installing? Fitment issues? Thanks it looks great. Especially if it adds some protection to the hood and windshield.
It's difficult to install the deflector singlehandedly. It's longer than you think. An assistant would be very helpful. I didn't have a helper, so I stuck 1" thick packing foam between the underside of the deflector and the top of the hood to cinch it up tight against the underside of the hood, while I pushed in the supplied plastic fasteners.

The fitment was very good. Before installing the deflector, you'll need to pull out the metal clips that hold the hood weatherstripping in the 4 locations receiving new fasteners. Discard those metal clips.

Thanks. Any issues closing the hood? Does it make contact with the grill area?

A YouTube video I watched said
1. 2 people
2. Save clips to reinstall
3. Pull back the seal in the four areas, using same clips through the holes. Solves alignment issue
4. After installed, turn the two hood alignment bumpers 1 1/4 turn counter clockwise
5. Close hood, check

No issues closing hood. Seems to fit well. I need to adjust the bumpers, since occasionally, the hood doesn't want to open.

Did your Bugflecter install with screws or did you have to use 3M tape? If with screws, did the pre-drilled holes on the Bugflecter line up well with the Maverick hood screw holes?

No screws or 3M tape. It came with 4 plastic push pin fasteners. The holes did align without any drilling needed.
