Front end paint protection

I'm considering doing the PPF on the painted front of my truck. Not too concerned about the hood since I'm thinking of a deflector for that issue. Any thoughts on that?

Unless you live down a gravel road, I think it's unnecessary since the bumper cover is plastic, so no real issues about rust unlike, say, the leading edge of the roof.

Everything below the hood is molded-in colored plastic and not paint.

Get a hood bug deflector. Everything below the hood is molded-in colored plastic and not paint. Most of them (including the Ford option) use double-sided tape over the paint, and will be a mess in 5 years. Most also do not cover the fenders. Get one that mounts under the hood edge and covers the fenders. I use the Bugflector II, but others exist. Then get a really good wax job to make the doors slippery and more resistant to stone hits. Ceramic also works. Forget PPF and plastic sheets that look like crap after they start degrading in the sun. Get a touch up paint bottle for any that get through your protection, and relearn the 2-second rule to stop getting peppered by being too close.

I believe the old AVS Bugflector II is now a Husky product and has some changes to it, but is still a defector and extends to the fenders. Not just a leading edge hood protector.

I don't live down a gravel road, but will be taking a 1,000 mile trip next month. I was referring to the painted front end of the truck and not the molded black bumper area. I'd like to keep it from getting dinged up. Rust is not a concern for that part of the truck since I'm not having to deal with salted roads during the winter. Nonetheless, appreciate your comments.
