I am in hopes that someone here can help me figure out just what I need to do to get aftermarket foglights to work on my 2023 Lariat hybrid. I have installed a 5 blade relay and have attached the wires according to information I have gotten from here and google. The lights come on just fine, but will not turn off. I need them to run with the low beams and turn off when high beams come on. I know that there is a setting in the FORscan software that will allow you to set the foglights to become active, but will it turn them off when high beams are triggered? Has anyone else installed aftermarket foglights on their Lariat. It seems to be the Lariat package that has the LIN-Bus data setup instead of fuses for the High/low beams.....I am at a loss.....

I really wanted the foglights to help with night time driving as I am no longer a spring chicken!

Thanx for any and all help......I am very leary of altering the software.....but Virginia requires the foglights automatically turn off when switching to high beam.....

All '22-'24 headlights work the same (Lariat DRL aside). As stated in the other topic, there is a constant power wire and the control wire (LIN) tells the headlight module what function to use. I'm assuming you hooked into that power wire which is why the fogs come on but never turn off.

Yes, FORScan can program the truck to turn off the fogs with high beams. But that only works for the fog light outputs from the BCM.

Bottom line, either go through the trouble wiring everything "properly" or you'll be stuck with a halfway set up.

^ Great answer.

@Krooozn, what circuit are you using to trigger your relay?

As @CNJFF mentioned, in order to have full fog lamp functionality, you must trigger your relay or directly power your fog lamps from the BCM fog lamp circuit(s).
