I love how thoughtfully Ford has automated things with the Maverick. One thing that annoys me greatly is if I want to have the key on to listen to the radio or charge a cell phone while camping, the fan has to be running. What were they thinking??? Has anyone figured out how to disable this stupid battery drain feature?

Have you tried pressing the power button for the climate controls? That should turn off the blower motor for the climate even if the vehicle is in accessories mode.

On my XLT the power button is located on the right side knob for the climate control.

Also you should be able to power up the radio for some time while the key is off by pressing the volume button.
