Forscan problem activating cruise

So I downloaded forscan, plug odb in, light is green on obd link, plugged into car and computer screen is blank and says not connected any help is appreciated

There are USB drivers you need to install on your PC. I fiddled with this connection issue for a week before I discovered this. If you're using an OBDLink brand device, look at http://obdlink.com/drivers. Supposedly they can autoinstall, but this didn't happen for me.

Great I'm very uncapable when it comes to Tech and computer stuff is it hard to download the drivers or what does that entail

Umm, do you have an ODBLink brand device? If so, go to the support website, click on FTDI Virtual COM Port Driver and install the driver.
