In earl years the "Bean counters' used to track vehicle problems and build a better part until they found out that the vehicle lasted too long and sales of NEW dropped off . SO design and software people got in the development to make it less costly and reduce quality and focus on "NEW features . The Maverick IS an example of all those factors gone a step too far with "sleep mode' CV-joint , fluid leaks and Dealers that can't get the 'bugs' out or replace the flimsy parts with an upgraded better part replacement . So vehicles are just like Cell phones change it out for latest model , color and function just to show off that YOU have the latest Model . Yes I own a maverick Hybrid and I still have my 1940 Ford Standard Coupe that I have owned since 1962 -and I can work on it if needed .

As with many things, like medications and electric circuitry design, AI will likely iron out a lot of mfg and operation problems in the future. This rudimentary CNC simulator will seem like throwing a rock compared to shooting a gun when AI is fully utilized for design and mfg vehicles.
Highly unlikely.
The problem with Artificial Intelligence is that although it is artificial, it is NOT intelligent.
Don't count on AI coming up with creative solutions, because it doesn't do that.

If enough of the engineering staff noted that square wheels had advantages, the AI design would include square wheels, regardless of the fact that they won't work.

AI can't think.
It's ability to evaluate is based on consensus, and if the consensus is flawed, so will be the design or the result of the area it's involved with.

AI is great at sieving through a lot of data, and finding references or finding a pattern, so in those arenas it can be a very helpful tool.

As far a a fresh approach to an idea, or coming up with an improvement in a design, it will take a human who can actually think to make that happen.

I wonder if Ford will give me my money back for the Maverick wind noise that I can hear if the radio is off?
Ford may honor warranty claims for wind noise if it is linked to a specific defect in parts, but like most manufacturers, being able to hear wind noise isn't a typical warranty item, and that is often explicitly excluded in the fine print.

In any case, wind noise would not provide a rationale to require a dealer to buy back the vehicle.

Buy a Rolls or a Bentley next time and the interior will be considerably more quiet.

I can see that you are neurodivergent like me; I should have made a note that I was using a form of humor and not serious about Ford returning all my money because I can hear wind at 80mph when the radio is off. But I can understand the confusion, as there are literally people who think such a thing is a major defect.
The Sprinter forum is full of people that thought because they were buying a light commercial vehicle by Mercedes that it would be equal to a GLS in rider comfort instead of being a plumber's van with a Mercedes grill. I imagine some Transit(not Connect) buyers also thought it would be a cushy passenger vehicle like an Expedition or quad cab F250 dually.
I have very low expectations for the Maverick, because it is a low-cost entry-level vehicle. Even putting Lariat, Lobo, or Tremor lipstick on the pig, it's still an entry-level quality car.

Well - we need rest of the story after that testing.
Where's Paul!

Engineers - This hardware lasted this long in simulation without an issue.

Number crunchers - We can do a cheaper one then no problem.
We can use cheaper or fewer clips for assembly.
Factory worker: It's Monday (or Friday), I don't feel like using the few clips required, one will do. It's not like they can fire me or anything...

OH WAIT! This isn't made in a UAW factory! So this would probably not happen.

I wish the simulator could come up with a fix for the trailer module that has failed on my 24 Maverick. Still waiting on that, Ford. Great that the 25 and 26 models can be fixed, now, how about the rest of us?
