A few days before Christmas, I ordered a second bed cubby to install in the driver's side of my Maverick's bed. I thought it would be easiest to use Ford's parts website rather than call the dealership, etc.

Using Fordparts.com seems pretty seamless: you order and pay for the parts on the web page, then pick them up at your local dealership (no shipping charge). Fordparts.com says most in-stock orders shipped the next day.

After a week, the Fordparts.com website still showed my order as not yet shipped and "in processing" at my local dealer. I e-mailed my local dealer's parts manager to see if there was a problem. They told me they don't even see the actual Fordparts.com order or have anything to do with it until it shows up at their door. They said it would take as long as a month for my part to show up at the dealership.

That's quite a deal if that's the real story... Ford takes their sweet time with the order and tells the customer that it's the dealer who's still processing the order.

Anyone else had a similar experience with Fordparts.com?

This sounds like the experience I had ordering my Maverick during the open window for MY23. Maybe it was place through the same Fordparts.com site?

I have had opposite experiences, maybe it's the parts in question? Everything I've ordered with the exception of the two bed cubbies has gone from ordered to my doorstep in two days.

Sounds like the same issues the Ford accessories site has when you select ship to dealer. I ordered stuff last year that never got fulfilled and the dealer had zero info. Had to reverse the charge with my credit card. I did try again recently when there was a 20% off sale but had it shipped to my house and had it within a week.

Can you use Ford Pass points on this site?

I ordered two bed cubbies from the parts counter at the local dealer and used my FordPass points. They arrived within a couple of days even with the holiday in the middle of things. Picked them up on Tuesday and installed when I got home. I still need to get a couple of extra bolts for each, but that will come this next week or so.

Yup, ordered a part in Nov to be picked up at dealer and still waiting. Have gone to dealer to inquire but they say Ford hasn’t sent the part. This dealer never sends email when the part actually arrives. Same process on a part I finally picked up in July 22’ and I barely got email last month the part had finally arrived. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I called Ford yesterday. They said the order is waiting for my local dealer to acknowledge it or verify it or something like that. So, I called my local dealer again. They still said it was a Ford Parts issue but they would call them.

Today, the order shows as being in processing: "The dealer has accepted your order and is making the appropriate arrangements."

It could just be my local parts manager, but it seems the coordination between FordParts.com and the dealers needs some tuning...
