I should be eligible for the private offer on a 2023 Maverick Hybrid. What is the process for receiving that? I got a notification that my car is built and will be shipped by April 11th. When will I be receiving the private offer and how does it come to me?

It won't "come to you" in any manner. Your dealer should be able to find it in their computer (Smart Vincent program). It is called a certificate and it should be there already. Ask them to tell you your certificate number and then you can relax if they do provide it.

If they can't find it, then you need to start the struggle ASAP. Lots of info in the posts here in MTC.

Call Ford's customer service or do chat with them. It should already be listed under your name. If not, there can be a couple reasons why. If your first order (2022) wasn't COVP approved, "OR" if it was approved and something on second order (2023) didn't match your first order (like EXACT spelling of name, address, etc...), the private offer will not show up. You can do a search on this forum and spend several days reading about people's experiences. If you call or chat and they do not see it, Ford can not and will not help you. Your dealer is the only one who can get it corrected. They will have to get with their Inventory Specialist to iron it out. If it is a simple spelling error, it should be easy. If first order wasn't COVP approved, I assume it would be more work, but regardless, they can still fix it. I work at a Ford dealer and my first order wasn't COVP approved. When I saw mine ship, I got onto our Sales Manager who deals more with inventory stuff. He has 30 years experience and good relationship with his Ford contacts. It took 11 days, but it got approved and my dealer received my private offer certificate number. I never received anything from Ford about it. Good luck!

Exactly what he said! I forgot, you can also get with your dealer to check, as well as Ford call or chat.

Just called my dealer and he said he can't see it, but he is not sure if that means it isn't there. He said he will check with his sales manager and he will contact Ford to see what the issue is.

My biggest fear come true lol. Any advice on things I can tell them that may help the process. I already told him that there may be an issue with the way the previous 2022 maverick order was put in, or it could be a simple spelling mistake. Any other advice?

FordVideoGuy posted the formula to get your actual cert number. It is:
SALES CODE (minus the leading "F") like 56405
MY ordered IS 22
ORDER CODE like 3333
Then the number 1.

In this example,
564052233331 would be the cert number. It is possible that the last number might be a 2...I forget why that is possible.
If your dealer searches for your cert number, they might find the issue (typo, whatever).

EDIT: My cert number was EXACTLY as described above. The 56 is the dealer area (Denver) and I suspect that 405 is my dealer number. I changed the order code to the random 3333, but my order code was 4 numbers and was in that spot. I do not know if that area takes alphabetic entries, if your dealer entered something like G333.

When you said "MY ordered IS 22", what were you referring to? Did you mean order id?

Sorry... No. It means the MODEL YEAR that was originally ordered...thus it IS ALWAYS "22" for the $1750/$2750 private offers for the 2022/2023 rollovers (or cancellations).

Keep your fingers crossed that if a simple typo is found, the dealer will contact the Ford Inventory Specialist who can easily fix an error when it is clear what happened. Some dealers have proven themselves to be very lazy about trying to get the money for you.

While it doesn't really cost them anything to get Ford to give you your private offer money, It does cost them, in the way that if they make it so you will not buy the truck, they win because they can add ADM.

The way I look at it, with the market the way it is right now, if you end up paying $2750 more for your truck, it isn't really the end of the world. You are getting a great price to start with (no ADM). Buy the truck now and continue the fight later is a better plan than to leave the dealer have your truck and you have to start all over with at least a $2750 increase in price and another loooong wait.
