Did you ever get around to purchasing and installing these Glen?
Yep, I posted about it back in June.
I bought EGR. I wanted to have them when I went to the Grand Canyon on the 4th of July.
WeatherTech only had the fronts available. For more money than I got all four EGR with free shipping.

Can't make up my mind if I want the EGR inchannels, or the Lund/Ford low profiles on Ford's site. The in channels are more functional, but I know they're know to scratch the glass where they rub, and sometimes have bounce back with the power windows.

Where the low profiles are a bitch to clean behind.

When you get a minute, would you mind posting photos of yours installed on your truck. Also photos with the glass slightly lower than the vent visors to see if they scratch the glass or not.

I plan on ordering a set I'm just torn as to which to go with. For the reasons in my previous post about the in channels and low profiles. Cuz there's no good way to crack the window on my Maverick when it's raining out without getting douched with water.

I've had in the vent visors for over 25 years. I have never had one power window bounce back. As long as you clean the channel when you wash the car there'll be no scratches here's a picture of my window with no scratches and a video of the window and operation.

Whats that little tab at the bottom front by the mirror??
It's supposed to to wrapped over the edge of the end of the inchannel visor to keep from Scratching/marring your window rubber molding. As the edges can be sharp, on his it looked to have come loose from the inside edge.

Looks good buddy.

Yeah I've had multiple brands and versions on so many trucks in the last 28 years, The only ones I remember having issues with bounce back or the AVS in channels for my 2012 F-150 crew cab.

It drove me nuts I returned them for the low profile version which looked great but they were a pain in the ass to clean behind since they sat less than a half inch off the glass.

I have no idea what you are trying to describe?
It seems I've addressed your concerns.
No scratches on the Windows. Picture provided
Proper operation of the power window. Video provided
In MY opinion in-channel look a heck of a lot better than stick-on's pictured below. Your opinion may differ.

I was describing this clear piece of stick on plastic it's supposed to stick on the front and back of the end of the in channels to keep it from marring/scratching the rubber molding at the bottom of the window. I've saw it on multiple brands but that's the idea behind it it's not supposed to be removed but I doubt it will do much harm if it is.

I agree if they would have cut them off at the end of the window rubber trim they would look a lot better. No need to extend past the window opening.

Yes it is there. I never paid attention to it.
It is a truck and let's face it. On the 6th of July got a chip in the windshield. A month ago I got the scratch on the rear driver side door, while in town at Sam's Club. I'm not going to worry too much if that plastic tape was not at the bottom of the visor

I ordered the EGR in channels. Just saw Huskyliners offer the low Profile ones, look nicer than AVS or Ford versions that run past the back window by a bit.

Edit: never mind the one pictured are on a F-150 The ones for the Maverick look as bad or worse than the low profile AVS.

It's strange the only vehicle I've ever had an issue with in channel vent visors is the Maverick.

I had to put a set of the AVS exterior ones on. Not only did it scratch the hell out of all 4 windows after about a year and a half, but the stopping of my window going up meant I had to roll it all the way back down, more than it will do in the auto down after it does this, then back up.

Not sure how long you've had yours for, but give the scratches time. They'll show eventually especially with tint. not something I ever really cared about but now that I don't have the in channels, I see it everytime I roll the windows down. It's noticeable on all 4 windows. Definitely not something I'd be worried about as far as resale value etc etc. Not that serious.

I've lived in windy dusty Nevada for over 30 years. I've had in the channel window visors for that long. Never had a problem with the power window operation. I even made a video.
As long as you keep the channel wiped and clean you're not going to get window scratches.
I have had in channel window visors on my Taurus's back in the Midwest.
I've had them on a Ford sport Trac. I've had them on Toyota Yaris, Dodge Ram Buick Encore, Chevy Volt.
I use a spray bottle with water, old t-shirt and a credit card to clean the window channel.

Yep same. I clean my truck often. Seals and all. Like I said, the Maverick is the first one I've had issues with.

I think overall, if the issue CAN exist, I'm done trying to hope it doesn't happen. I'd rather just by exterior versions from now on.
