It's literally not a thing that's happening. Just something someone made up in early 2021 and keeps getting spread by clickbaiters
That image actually goes back to 2018... Def not a thing that's happening. Not even a thing.

Good catch. 2021 was as far back as I could find it using google reverse image search.

If its real. It looks Edge based which could be a lil heavier duty than the Mav if they built it right.

This thread should just get locked imo…
Agreed. We've pretty much covered everything that could be said about it, and there's really no positive direction to go with this.

Citing an old MotorBiscuit article as the source is like saying Elvis is alive and married to Michael Jackson because the National Enquirer said they are.

You are in the wrong place. Head to your local Hyundai dealer and buy a Santa Cruz. Your Ranchero is photo shopped Santa Cruz.

Myself, I considered the Santa Cruz and ordered a Maverick XLT Hybrid. Hyundai warranty was better and I still chose Maverick.

Maybe you should do your research 🙃 Cuz this "Newbie" clearly did, lol
huh? It’s not official, it’s old, and has no official backing.

I also REALLY wish people would stop saying “do your research” but that’s a whole different topic

After seeing all the interest in a mini-Truck, would it not be incompetent to say maybe we should make it bigger and more car like? The reasons I purchased the Maverick was it was cheap, fuel efficient, had a usable bed, 5 passenger, and looks more like a truck than a car or SUV. Just focus on making the vehicles that are already sold and selling beyond capacity.
If Ford can increase the price with luxury interior on a Ranger platform they will do it……$$$

To me, common sense says there's no business case for another vehicle line between Maverick (Compact) and Ranger (Mid-size). With overwhelming demand for the Maverick and a brand new and much improved Ranger coming, this just doesn't make sense. Ford took a substantial gamble bringing back the current 5th Gen Ranger after abandoning that segment ~11 years ago. Then took a HUGE gamble producing a Compact- and a unibody at that. At some point the analysts and bean counters would have to determine if a new tweener would justify enough (if any) ROI, or would it simply cannibalize the line above and the line below and spread valuable resources too thin in the process?

Just what Ford needs. Another vehicle they cannot build/deliver.
AGREE !! I do like it but I like all the small trucks ( when they were small) like the first rangers- and dodge D-50 ,I had one of those it was great, even rampage, chevy S-10, first Tacoma too , we ordered a year ago, and now we reordered!! and WAIT and WAIT too darn bad they cant build them im retired on fixed budget and the maverick was perfect.

I thought ford knew better after seeing all the comments about the Butt Ugly Santa Cruise. I also have to say it looks Like a Santa Cruise with aFord Emblem. I personally wouldnt buy it.
