Yep, love the div re-instatement, not the previous $0.15/share but I'll take what I can get.

Good general news on chips - maybe Renesas plant getting back on their feet can translate into more Mav folks getting their trucks in 4Q like it did for 3Q:

The q3 earnings report posted late this afternoon. Stock is up in after hours trading and it'll probably be market headline news for tomorrow.

Ford nearly doubled Wall Street’s earnings expectations and slightly beat revenue projections for the third quarter.
The results led the automaker to increase its annual guidance for the second time this year.
Ford said increased availability of semiconductor chips and higher vehicle shipments in the third quarter enabled it to post higher-than-expected results.

DETROIT — Ford Motor nearly doubled Wall Street’s earnings expectations and slightly beat revenue projections for the third quarter, leading the automaker to increase its annual guidance for the second time this year

Ford on Wednesday also said it would reinstate its regular dividend starting in the fourth quarter, more than a year and a half after suspending the payments during the early days of the coronavirus pandemic.

The important is not one mention of the Maverick.

The real import stuff is Q3 revenue is down $1.9 billion or 5% from Q3 2020. So it wasn't a great quarter.

But revenue YTD is $7.5 billion or 8.2% from 2020 first nine months. Which is great.

Their total assets dropped $15 billion but the liabilities dropped $21 billion since December 31st 2020.

No real info about production numbers though.

Ford beat expectations, both for revenue and earnings.

As Darksider notes, revenue was down for the quarter, year-over-year. Ford attributed this to chip shortages and said the situation is improving.

Note that Chevrolet was down 25% year-over-year!

In context, it was a good report from Ford.

I initially searched for Maverick in the text as well and didn't find it...but you can do the same for every model. The only Bronco mention is about ordered vehicles except the Bronco. Only F-150 mention is related to the Lightning plant capacity.

Bottom line this is a report for shareholders about business operations, not news related to specific model sales (which we see in the monthly reports).
