I just got the Fordpoints for my recent Maverick trade-in and Ranger purchase on 10/2/24. I expected 42,000 points, as that is what is still shown on most places on Ford.com. What I got was 31,000 points. Value is $55.00 less. They also have dropped the Diesel purchase rewards from 75,000 points to 31,000 points. Cheap bastards.

Ford.com right now:
Ford Maverick Ford points DROPPED as of 10/1/24 1728096109128-e6

Also Ford.com at the same time:
Ford Maverick Ford points DROPPED as of 10/1/24 1728096245798-gr

Even my dealer did not know about this change.

I did get 42,000 in April when I purchased my Maverick.

I got it for both my 2023 and 2024 Mavericks. This is effective 10-1-24. And I bought my Ranger on 10-2-24 which makes it even more annoying.

TB posted this on the FMT Facebook page in early Sept, so when I asked my dealer last week to PLEASE get my truck in & prepped by 9/30, it was because of the points reduction.

Since our Ranger purchase was sort of out of the blue, I hadn't kept track of these changes....just like my dealer.

My dealer is decent to good in the way it has treated me with my purchases, but man...do you have to hold their hand as they didn't seem to understand any of the Ford instructions concerning Maverick orders...and they had no clue as to why I only received 31000 points. They told me to call Ford and even gave me the Ford number. Glad I researched it before I called Ford.

It's not like the old rewards were lavish. They should create goodwill, but this just makes you miffed.

Ford decided it needed to increase profit by $55 million in Q4. Cutting the rewards was easier and less likely to impact sales than a price increase.
