Just recently bought a Ford racing intercooler for my truck and planned to put it in myself but then found this.
https://performanceparts.ford.com/download/PDFS/fpp-warranty.pdf

The performance part as long as it is installed by the dealer or ASE certified tech is covered the same as the original part under warranty. I have a Ford ESP plan and when I called the dealer they said the ESP applies to these parts. Here is the interesting part according to the service department, the labor is also covered under warranty if done at the dealer. Supposedly this will cost me either nothing or the deductible to have them install and have fully OEM warranty coverage on the part.

So basically if you buy their performance stuff that are certified for this truck, the original warranty remains intact and they will also reimburse the dealer for the installation.

Truck goes into the dealer next week to have racing intercooler installed. Will update then on how much if any I have to pay on the installation.

I've never heard of them covering initial installation. They're saying it covers the labor on the repair if the part were to fail.
Me neither but the service manager said otherwise. I am prepared to pay the full labor cost if it doesn't go through. That is still worth it to me to keep the warranty intact and extended to the new racing intercooler. Like I said T.B.C. Frankly it is a smart move on Ford's part if true. They've basically pushed out the competition for people who something extra from their vehicle but not a race track vehicle while still being a reliable daily driver. No third party is also going to cover the labor and be able to not cause questions with the warranty over said part.
