Same here. Been on the fence about it for awhile now but @FERALMAVERICK unintentional enabling and the sale pushed me off it. $250 discount is a shit or get off the pot decision. Next up to look into a Monte GT or GTR tuner. Their stuff looks to cater more towards daily driving than high performance racing. More research is needed before purchasing.
Glad to be a persuader of bad financial decisions . Your welcome lol 😆

Interestingly Ford actually posts some performance numbers for their performance intercooler.
73% efficiency vs. 60% stock
Pressure drop: 3 kPA vs. 5 kPA stock
11 degree outlet temperature rise vs. 35 degree temperature rise stock

Normally you'd be right but this one actually makes a lot of sense with how I use my truck. It will also give me an excuse to do a thread about real world oil build up in the stock intercooler while riling up the catch can crowd at the same time. Besides I can recoup that money back in a week on the 401k investments.

Just completed this install on my 2023 XLT. Took a bit longer than I estimated. Problem being I was trying to follow the instructions on the Ford Performance website PDF. They wanted me to remove the bumper cross bar and full front carrier. After taking all the bolts and screws out I was stuck at trying to take it apart from the radiator support.

After a while I gave up, said F this and cut the surround of the intercooler like I was installing the CVF intercooler. So after unplugging the hoses I had to unclip from bottom and tilt up to remove. Funny thing is when they installed the original I think they had an issue. The radiator above it (not sure which one it is) was bent a bit in the right bottom corner where it contacts the intercooler.

Installing new FP one wasn't bad, but once again that right corner where the bent radiator was I had an issue. Couldn't get the loop to hook over the plastic carrier part. I made it work though. Too tired and dirty to take it for a spin. I'll do it tomorrow and see how it feels.

'UPDATE' now that the new has worn off a bit and I'm done playing a bit , I've gone back to driving normal and here is what I've noticed. there is defiantly a noticeable increase in moving acceleration and passing power ( no not plant u in your seat power ) also i have picked up .8 mpg so far ( which is great cause i lost about 1.4mpg with the larger tires and level )

genuinely looking forward to s&b cold air to be released , and with a tune ( when someone actully releases a 25+ ) or the 300t turbo/programmer, this thing will be a blast to drive

Correct,, there is a noticeable difference with the roll on throttle.
Like before it would drop a gear now it just pulls til I decide to upshift.

Just had mine done at the dealer to extend the Ford warranty to the racing intercooler. I have an XL w/4k tow package. I can also concur the acceleration is much better now and really noticeable in eco mode. Next time I have the trailer with substantial weight it will be interesting to see how better if any the torque it produces.

As far as MPG and other potential gains I don't know if the ECU needs to do a relearn first which could mean it needs to be driven another 50 - 100 miles first.

Did some driving and can concur with @FERALMAVERICK the MPG increase as long as you don't drive with a lead foot. I am seeing almost a full 1 MPG increase now in both eco and normal drive modes at speeds of 65 MPH or under. Another real world test I did, there is his really steep paved road up the mountains not to far from me that this truck can not climb if you put it in eco mode. Well it climbed it in eco mode with the racing intercooler.
