I haven't worried about the cable so much. But a crankshaft machine problem leads to rod. or main bearing failure. Rod pokes hole in block or pan oil causes fire. I've seen a pic of a toasted one. These issues aren't like my glovebox is hard to open stuff.
you should be thankful you even HAVE your truck to worry (exaggerated as it may be) about. Many of us don't even have ours scheduled for production yet.

I'm sure if after waiting yours comes with a engine knock you'll be grateful to have it.

Does yours knock?
Link?

And you're sure that the "rattling & shaking" is caused by the same crankshaft issue that's causing issues with Escapes?
I've had or have seen plenty of sour engines. Knocking & shaking pretty much equates to bad or loose bearings. Now considering Ford admitted to letting improperly machined. Cranks & offered a bandaid solution for a thrown rod yes I'm very confident it is said issue. I tried to post the video & forum said wrong format.

Why would you guys make excuses for bad parts? Putting your heads in the sand doesn't make it go away.

Read your last couple comments and started wondering if you had even half a clue.
Now I know. You don't.

Knocking or Shaking could be caused by any number of things: bad fuel, bad spark plug, wire or cap, broken motor mount, clogged fuel filter, bad fuel pump, carbon build up in head. Even DTs.

At idle?
If it's knocking at idle because of bad bearings, I demand to see a 0-60 video cuz it's not long for this world.

šŸ’„

I have a video of a Maverick hybrid rattling & shaking. Looks like main bearings out. So yes there is.

 Okay, boss. Anytime someone tries to tamp down the FUD peddled by the "sky is falling" brigade y'all come back with this BS. At least most of the time your compadres can actually follow the thread of the story. You're out here screaming about "bad parts" when there's no evidence of "bad parts" in the maverick (the 25 cranks you're referencing were found, isolated, and recalled in Ford Escapes). But go off king, or take my original advice and log TF off.

I’m one of the lucky ones to be recalled and I haven’t driven it yet. The guy is right. How do I trust this truck. Overheated cat, bad wire harness, bad crankshaft. What’s next?
Good news is that you don't have to trust it. Just sell it

And im sure you could find a video of another vehicle with a different engine exploding lol every vehicle experiences recalls. these issues are what warranty is for lol sheesh. And if i wanna be really picky about your comment… theres no ā€˜main bearing’ in an engine lol so you kinda crushed your credibility yourself. But hey. Trust youtube over your ford factory warranty if ya want. Its a free country my man.

No main bearings? What do you think holds the crankshaft into the block?

The recall is to remedy a lack of ventilation and drainage in the engine bay. That's it. Given the worst case scenario of a catastrophic engine failure with oil, fuel, and vapors being confined in such a small area near a heat source a fire could start, putting the occupants at risk. If the engineers in charge of designing the parts being altered by the recall had foreseen this problem it would have been designed with the alterations from the factory. If this had happened, and no recall was issued, would you still be angry about a crankshaft defect belonging to a different model (and possibly a different plant) than the one you own?

Oh theres lots of bearings lol your quote was ā€˜THE MAIN BEARINGā€ lol very different. Anyways. Do you. Dont let me tell you youre not a mechanic

also as an aside… its housing that holds things in places lol bearings carry the load and allow for rotational movement… i digress….
