Hey everyone,

Since Ford had a stake in Rivian, is the Maverick based on the same platform and or design?
I don’t know if it’s just me, but the Maverick has uncanny similarities to the Rivian R1T.

Oh man, if they made an EV version of the Maverick with 250+ miles of range per charge, that would be a hands-down front-runner for me. Even if it came in at a $30K price point, you're still looking at low $20Ks with the tax incentives.

A plug in hybrid would be cool as hell. Give it like 100 mile range on battery power with a gas engine backing it up and Id actually be interested in it. 100 mile range before plugging in could cover probably 90% of the driving I do.

I agree an EV version of the Maverick called a lightning with 300+ miles range would be awesome

I don't see any similarities the Rivian has at all with the Maverick. However, I do see more than a few with the 1958 Edsel. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

What were they thinking? I hope there's a big storage compartment there to make up for the looks.
