2022 Hybrid XLT w/LUX/360. Velocity Blue. Ordered July 16, 2021, arrived July 29, 2022. I took my Maverick the next day after picking it up at Classic Ford in Columbia, SC, to Vivid Ceramic for a professional Ceramic and windshield tinting. I had previously ordered and had the dealer install the hard roll-up bed cover, Platinum lettering for tailgate and the Aeroskin smoke hood protector from Ford Accessories. I couldn't be happier with the way the Ceramic coating and tinting came out. My truck will unfortunately have to sit in the sun all day so I wanted the protection. It looks fantastic and feel the cost of professional installation was worth it

Looks great. I was considering this color on my Maverick but I decided to get Area 51 instead since it looks so good in all shades of light and it's an easy to color to maintain. I installed that same bug defector on mine as well. It only took 30 minutes after watching a DIY video on Youtube. I couldn't be happier with the look. It makes the front end look more muscular.

I know I'm a dinosaur, I actually like waxing my cars!
So if I go the ceramic route someone please tell me, what am I going to do with all the free time?

As of this morning, I picked up my Ford Maverick Lariat from an appointment at my local detailer to ceramic coat it for me. Let me just say I could not be happier with the results. It literally looks and feels like glass. It doesn't even feel like I'm touching paint anymore rather it feels like touching a window. It looks better than new. I figured since I'm keeping this vehicle, it's well worth the investment. It's reassuring knowing that my vehicle is well-protected for the long-run. All I have to do is maintenance washes and spray it with quick detailer. I never have to hand-wax it ever again. For anyone that hasn't had this done to their own Maverick and intend on keeping it (not reselling it for a quick buck), you should definitely have this done. You will not regret it.

Sorry for my ignorance, is the ceramic coat over the whole body and the glass? Have you noticed if the truck doesn't get as hot in the sun now? Thanks. Congrats on your ride!

Thank you for your compliment. To answer your question, the coating is over the body and glass. As a result, I don't have to use my wipers as often since the water rolls right off. It's actually a great safety and convenience feature.

I had my paint ceramic coated at dealership in Canada and very happy with results on Area 51 colour, it's been 5 months and 16000 kms, glad I chose it and the interior protection too!

Looks great. Is this the same as Zurich Shield? Like just washing without waxing!

Awesome-- I'm a late January order so I'm still playing the waiting game, but I'm sold I'm getting the ceramic coat. Thanks for responding.

A dealership is the last place I would have a Ceramic Coating installed to be completely honest. Be wary because most of them are using bottom of the line products. I’ve seen cars that are “ceramic coated” from the dealership months afterwards and the coating is already failed. Any detailer who works for a dealership is going to be inexperienced on some level. I get calls from dealers constantly and they all want to pay you minimum wage. No professional detailer will work for that kind of money. I would ask what they put on your car and make sure it’s worth what you’re paying for or already payed for it to be done. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR QUITE LITERALLY IN THE DETAILING INDUSTRY.. there’s a reason some of us charge thousands and they charge hundreds. You can DIY yourself with a consumer grade ceramic coating and probably get better protection at a better price. Please be smart people, cheaper doesn’t ever mean better.

Here's the thing, this was not from a dealership. This was from an independent professional detailer. He does this for a living and does professional work. I've had previous experience from him and his quality of work holds up in the long-run which is why I went to him in the first place. Trust me, I would not want to have a dealership do it either with the low-grade products they use and the improper techniques when doing so.

Depends on what type of Ceramic coating you put on? a professional is at least 5yrs.DYI ranges from 1-3 yrs and you can always use a Topper after every other wash like I do
