Dealer failed to include the hitch when i ordered my Mav 09/15/22 (morning the order desk opened after being closed due to lack of capacity from 2022). By time I realized it the desk had closed and I was told that if i change the order it may delay the production date even further than it already was (took 10 months to get delivery) but they could install the hitch at the dealer. When I got the truck and found out how much the dealer was going to charge I said hell no . I talked to a friend at the parts desk and he told me they were going to install a Curt hitch and wiring connector. I found the exact same hitch and connector for $346 and was able to install it in under an hour my self. It is a Ford approved hitch and doesn't void the warranty. (not that that matters as I just hit 36k miles) at less than half the dealer price. Though it's not the greatest adaptation of the original blank off plate in the bumper I wasn't going for pretty just functional

Is there a list of Ford approved aftermarket tow hitches that don't void the factory warranty? That would be helpful to MTC members.

not sure if there is a list but this is what my parts guy showed me.

CURT hitches, specifically the "CURT Class 3 Trailer Hitch" model number 13504, are approved for use on Ford Mavericks and are designed to fit the vehicle specifically; you can use a CURT hitch on a Ford Maverick without issue.

It bolts on the frame the same as the OEM
