I use my truck to tow a trailer practically every weekend. Each and every time, my truck tells me on the dash that a trailer is attached and that BLIS is disabled. This makes perfect sense to me. However, the Ford App each and every time posts that there is an error with BLIS and that i need to check a bunch on things and then finally take my truck in for service.

The annoying thing is I also get a notification on my phone that BLIS has faulted. No it hasn't, I have a trailer connected!

If my truck knows the reason that BLIS is disabled is a trailer is connected, why can't the app see this as a valid reason and stop posting notices on my phone and logging messages in the app.

I have tried posting this in the app (Android) and also sent messages (2) to the app developer. No response on either

Seem to me to be an easy fix in the app. Hope the FORD sponsor account sees this.

Thinking that you may have BLIS disabled in the truck settings, I wanted to see what happens if I manually diabled it in my truck. Found that this as well throws an error notification and logs a message in the app. This happened before I even moved the truck to connect the trailer.

Maybe your 2024 Lariat has the fix that my 2022 XLT needs.

I haven't disabled anything to my knowledge. It alerts me when I have a trailer hooked up but only on the cluster.

Appears 2 systems on the truck deal with that.
1 system is the one that gets status sent up to Ford (it's not the app) and who knows what else it sends the info to, the other system deals with it and the display.

Since a purposeful disable of option still results in error being reported, you'll probably need a module update, some version is off.

I'm wondering if there are other warnings, perhaps not seen yet, that sees the BLIS disabled but unaware you have a trailer connected - which should really know you have a trailer on for that system to respond correctly.

If you have had recalls done that deal with updates - they may have failed to update all modules that had newer versions.

If you have recalls to do - well there's the 1st step.

I've had all recalls to date done.

I do have the Veh. Data & Remote Ctrl set to enabled in the Connectivitly Settings. So I do understand that there is a handshake from my truck --> Ford -->> my FordPass app. And backwards if I want to do something like remote start. It is tough to say if the data is incorrect from my truck or it gets is incorrectly interpreted from in the Ford --> FordPass app handshake.

I have seen the FORD account respond to posts. Like them to chime it on this as well.

My 2022 XLT does it as well. I don't tow a lot so I just wright it off as another quirk of owning a Ford.
